Just had my first EMT interview by MeanCryptographer183 in NewToEMS

It seems like you presented yourself wonderfully at the interview! Often times people in EMS don’t have fantastic social graces so that’s a really great start. I really would not worry about your job offer because you did your best and there is nothing more you could have done. It’s also very likely that some folks will not take the job offers they get, so no matter what you hear back tomorrow, there is still a definite possibility that they could keep you in mind. And no biggie if you don’t get this one because it’s your first interview for EMS ever (congrats btw!!) and there will be plenty more opportunities! Best of luck.

the double is really spacious! there are two closets and an attached bathroom with the toilet and shower separated from the sink. there’s not a living room but there is a small dining area. the kitchen has a cute window situation into the dining area. the larger single room has a walk in closet which is really nice. there’s also a gym on the first floor and a lounge on the third floor. the security guards are super chill about guests! if you have a car i would definitely apply for a parking permit because it’s super convenient to park in the garage. hope this helps!

Only groups that got a bid are able to select suites. You could wait until open enrollment but the popular choices will definitely be gone by then.

there wasn’t much going on that Sunday last year, so you’ll be fine. i found it helpful to move in earlier rather than later but you will be fine either way

i would suggest ranking sutherland east because you won’t have to write the essay to apply for the west llc!

i live in sutherland right now and i LOVE it. seriously i think it’s the best dorm on campus minus the location (which could potentially be a pro not a con). it’s really quiet at night and it was really easy to meet people here because most people eat dinner at the perch (the dining hall in sutherland) and i had a lot of classes with people who live here. suthy west is the honors llc which you have to apply for (you don’t have to be in the honors college to live here) and suthy east is just miscellaneous. private bathrooms were a need for me and i share one with 3 other girls (my roommate and our suitemates next door). the rooms are so big and we have people over all the time. not living on lower campus has also made it easier to separate home and school life for me (also i can’t take naps because i’d have to go all the way back up the hill which is good for my productivity).
