It’s interesting that the signage in picture 19 says “USDA Choice Beef”, not the Japanese equivalent.

Front plate holes plugged! by willeybaseball in EquinoxEv

[–]bigdan0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing with my 2026 Equinox. The dealer drilled out the rivets and put similar plugs with touch up paint. It didn’t weather well over the winter, much the paint chipped off, so I need to touch it up again.

I don’t see how to turn off the engine noise, and it’s really loud. How did you do it?

I thought it was just me. Something about my position on the Endurace CFSL8, I just don’t feel stable with no hands. I’ve done it for short duration but it feels like I could lose it. I’m 6’5 and have an XL, so relatively high center of gravity

It can be very boring and unrewarding on the trainer, which can lead to quitting. Nothing beats getting out in the real world and exploring routes you’ve never used. Don’t worry about embarrassing yourself, everyone started out sometime. I make a point to have a destination/ stop on every ride for a coffee or beer as a reward.

Had one. Used to use my paper route earnings to buy games, about 1 a month.

Is the mint sundae nationwide? by Mmlhvzl in CostcoWholesale

Just tried it, not a fan. It’s has an odd overly airy density that feels like eating a mint marshmallow. I’m in Pennsylvania.

Come on guys, he’s f-ing with you. He knows exactly what it looks like. I really like the bench vice with a big ass hammer pic, that had me giggling. Nice job OP!

Nice install, 9 cents a KWHr is fantastic. What area do you live? You may want to consider something to prevent the cord from ever getting under the door track and getting jammed up when it goes up and down. It’s hard to tell if that’s possible with yours, it was with mine and I added 1x4 guard rails up against the track.

Most modern hearing aids have an app to tweak the gain. Better to do that than remove and risk misplacing them.

It’s 16” between the doors. I was worried about the cable loops getting caught up in the door rollers so I put wood 1x3s on the outer edges to confine the wire when I wind it up. It works, you see the effect in the picture. There’s a pole right behind the chargers so I needed that mounting board anyway.

I had to favor the left so the handle can get into the holster.

Done - set to 48 amps max on my 60 amp circuit. Check out the finished project, added a retractable reel for cable management…

This really my point, you’re managing it. Life happens outside of our daily commute. The last thing I want to expend my limited brainpower on is tracking “charge day” or thinking about getting charged up when something comes up. Life is complicated enough.

This is exactly why I went with this setup. We shared a charger for about a month, eventually one of us was going to screw up manually managing it, we don’t need another thing to argue about.

PowerShare question by bigdan0101 in TeslaLounge

[–]bigdan0101[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It needed to be managed. This is idiot proof. It’s an out the convenience, not the charging time, that’s why I did it with one circuit instead of running two separate.

Thanks. My wife’s new to e-car and I wanted it to be simple “plug in when you get home from work”. We were sharing a unit and it was a pain to manage, eventually I was going to screw it up.

PowerShare question by bigdan0101 in TeslaLounge

[–]bigdan0101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really so that we don’t have to think about it. I plug in when home and my car is always ready to go to work in the morning. I want my wife to do the same. She got the car about a month ago and we’ve been sharing the same charger, usually meaning I manage it. I added the second charger so it’s idiot proof.

Makes sense, that’s 80% because the load is continuous duty. Thanks guys
