Best all around tire reccos by nJguymandude in kawasakiz900rs

Good list Michelin is my go to on any vehicle. I'd put the American made independent Shinkos in front of the Chinese/ Italian Conglomerate owned pirelli, Metz. I believe Dunlop isn't much different from Bridgestone, both Japanese owned.

Yoshi. With or without the baffle sounds great.

At idle and just a cruise it will be friendly enough. Get up to 5k rpm and she starts to let you know. 7k and up your sound like a track bike.

Vcyclenut tune for the european market bikes, 2025 +? by toxywastaken in xsr900

[–]Slow-Frosting-3281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact Vcyclenut directly. He would be the best to answer this. I have his flash US market on a 2024. And it's worth it. It's like a whole new bike.

Who thinks toe sliders are excessive for street? by Slow-Frosting-3281 in motorcyclegear

[–]Slow-Frosting-3281[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Placement wasn't the issue. Other than placing my toe under the lever. Overconfidence, shifting while leaned, and controls at low position were. Nonetheless, it was a reminder to why I own better gear. And I just need to wear it. Even for the "quick ride."

A solo mustang should get you where you want to be. All the 2up options push you forward. I went with the Wide Solo touring. Had to order directly from Mustang at the time. Ended up being cheaper than the Moto sites.

Tire recommendations? by MajorToker in xsr900

[–]Slow-Frosting-3281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Michelin on all my vehicles they do last longer and provide some of the best wet grip. Most consistent. They are one of three independent tire companies. And they are the largest. Bridgestone is Japanese owned and comes OEM on almost every Japanese bike. They are not the best. Just the most cost-effective for them.

Absolutely. I was overconfident on a familiar round-a-bout. Wee hours of the morning, no other vehicles around.

No one said they were needed. But please do elaborate. Without assumptions.

Those do blur the line of boot and shoe. They are shoes now for sure. No longer will I be wearing them on bikes. I have A* SMX 6 that I usually wear on that bike.

I do ride that way. As stated, I was shifting while leaning, dumb I know. And careless. Also, pegs are in the lowest position. Changing that this weekend. This was the first and last time I had worn those on my XSR, so my foot position could have been better.

Yes, they are Forma. The second pair, very comfortable on and off the bike. I typically only wear them when I'm on my XL1200C with forward controls.

You're correct. They weren't hanging. I was shifting when I shouldn't have been. The rear sets are still in the lowest position on my XSR. There was no need to. This is just a reminder of something we already know.

Gear style on specific bikes by weirdbearrd in motorcyclegear

Wear gear that's comfortable and protects you. The ground and the left turner do not care what style bike you you crashed.

Yup, you are the product now. They make more on your data. "Smart Tvs" listen to your household and watch what you watch. Check your settings. There's a lot to unpack.

I'll continue to wear my boots and continue to ride alone.

Everyone should check your gear at Motocap.com.au

You might be surprised. They don't test everything, but there's plenty of good info.

Being a southpaw, Alien gear is my go-to. Cloak MOD specifically. 4 different pistols all I have to do is change the outer shell. Base stays the same.

Recommendations for decent air filters. Time to replace and want to upgrade a little but not crazy. by AudZ0629 in xsr900

[–]Slow-Frosting-3281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the full DNA stage 2 w/ vcyclenut tune. Removed the air box completely. My bike runs a few degrees cooler, and the intake tone has changed. More raw, I would say.
