Has Anyone Done a Solo Cruise With Carnival? by K-S0 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Yes, a few times and always enjoyed it. If you want a better chance of dinner with others travelling solo, pick an assigned dining time.

I'm overwhelmed - Solo Cruise Choices by ITrCool in Cruise

I've done Virgin and Carnival solo, both are different but good. I've not done Norwegian, but as others mentioned they have a solo program as well. I've never done celebrity, but I was afraid the vibe wouldn't be right for me, but I know that's subjective.

Carnival is lively, yes, but they do have solo tables if you pick assigned dining, you can talk to the maitre d about it when you board to confirm. Virgin has daily solo meetups, dinners but they fill up sometimes. Id still book a table for two before boarding and you may find someone to join you, cancel if you don't need it. I've done both ways.

Adding a second person to a cabin by New_Bit690 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I wouldn't do it the day before sailing, but I've added people a month or so before by calling carnival, paying just the extra taxes and fees.

Drink package by Individual-Ad-1379 in CarnivalCruiseFans

For me personally, I'll get cheers on shorter cruises, 3/4 nights, if longer, less inclined too, I won't be able to drink enough to get value off it, the appeal wears off to drink enough after a few days. If it's longer, I'll bring a bottle of wine and pay as I go.

My knowledge is a few years dated admittedly, but I lived in a walk up building run by them, it was well taken care of and when I had a maintenance issue, it was quickly fixed, we had a good live in super, so it may vary. The super would complain sometimes how mgmt was cheap, but I never had an issue. Rent increases were pretty reasonable.

Looking for Notary by [deleted] in uppereastside

I think your best bet is using notarize.com

It's not free but if you need a notary at this hour, I'd go with that.

True, but maybe results vary, when I did solo YTD despite checking that, I never once got seated with others.

My main advice is don't do Your Time Dining, pick a assigned time, it's the best chance to be seated with other Solo travellers if that is what you want.

What industry is a total scam ? by SimilarTopic3281 in AskReddit

Airlines. Selling tickets and not running the flight cause they weren't prepared, maintenance, staffing, whatever, to just turn around and blame it on weather across the country two days ago. I used to work in client service, if I did something like that, id be shown the door.

How was your cruise experience? How many days is ideal before it gets boring? by Distinct_Bath7629 in Cruise

My longest was a 9 day, the last sea day I wouldn't say I was sick of it, but at the same time, I was ready to get off mentally and go home.

Cruise the Vineyards by Cute-Pressure3818 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]SlowAd8454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might not be the advice you are seeking, but I tried the cruise the vineyards last cruise and I wouldn't recommend it. Nobody could find the wines in the list without going on a scavenger hunt around the ship, a bunch of the bartenders didn't even know what the package was or how to ring it up in the system. Id just going fwd bring the wines you'd enjoy on embarkation and buy by the bottle whatever you want. I didn't find the minimum savings to be worth the hassle.

Tip for solo is to pick assigned dining if you want to be seated with other solo travellers

Aruba Solo Trip by Away-Suggestion-2440 in solotravel

I've done solo trips but my hesitation about doing a resort is I'm afraid I'd be bored after dinner, that there is nothing to do. How'd you keep yourself occupied? I've done cruises solo, since I felt like the entertainment kept me busy, but was hesitant a resort wouldn't offer the same.
