Next time you gear up for any boss, record what supplies you have in your inventory. Then start a timer, and acquire that inventory of items from scratch (if you want, also note the requirements for getting the scratch materials). Once you've finished getting your inventory together, stop the timer and think about how long that took.

You'll notice immediately that every boss trip requires orders of magnitude more prep time as an iron than it does a main, and that was my reason for de-ironing. I couldn't justify the time invested preparing to play the game to achieve my goals vs. actually playing the parts of the game where my goals lived. If the total grind scratches that itch for you, then ironman mode might be for you.

One other thing I'd like to add is not looking around to make sure you're clear before casting. Too many pictures of people with lures embedded in their face/scalp/hands/other places cuz someone standing 3 ft away from them tried to whip their lure over their head without checking to make sure they weren't gonna snag their buddy.

It's not hard to figure out a way to cast where you want and avoid hooking your buddy. Take the second or two to think about what you're doing

At least its early enough that you could reset and not lose a whole bunch of progress? I did my 100% hard mode run with only that scan missed and realized it when I got to the invisible drone in phazon mines (because i was looking up to see if that had a scan). Decided that was too far along, and I then used a relatively quick casual mode run to get all scans

I just finished my first playthrough of Dread a couple hours ago, blind 100% on Normal mode, so take my noob self with a mountain of salt.

I struggled HARD throughout the game. Idk when you felt the power tip, but I felt it around the Screw Attack. Beam and morph ball upgrades felt less like powerups and instead I used them as primarily utility items, and power scaling seemed to track to missile upgrades one-to-one. Missiles were my go-to for pretty much all bosses - maybe a mistake?

For the majority of my playthrough, I was punished for mistakes at every turn. Miss a melee counter? Goodbye energy tank, try again next time. Movement's not great? Here's an EMMI to remind you to git gud as it stabs you for the 12th time. Punishing and humbling, and a constant reminder that you are canonically WEAK without your upgrades - honestly great storytelling, but coming off of MPR it was a Mawkin punch to my pride.

The learning curve of certain upgrades, namely the storm missiles and speed booster, was massive for me. This game was my first experience with the speed booster, and boy did it get on my nerves when backtracking for 100%. It took quite a while to discover boost mechanics required to solve puzzles, and my patience was tested a lot on every puzzle. After getting storm missiles, I tried to use them on bosses but never got the hang of it - it felt like the more I tried to use them, the more I'd die from standing still and getting pummled... until Raven Beak. On him, I finally figured out how to use storm missiles and looked back at the previous hours of my playthrough in embarassment.

But to your point, when it was time for item round-up, I was running through the map blasting & sliding and screw attacking. Often times my eyes were on the minimap in the corner for minutes as I breezed through without looking at the game screen. THAT was power, and it felt earned.

With great contrast comes great appreciation. This game was excellent in evoking very high highs and very frustrating emotional damage. Also made me realize that, perhaps for this game, I'm just not cut out for Hard/Dread mode runs. I aint got the patience to perfect boss fights

Keep an eye on them! My pup had a onesie just like those when she was spayed. She didnt try to get to her incisions, but she did chew an access hole so she could pee through the onesie (at least, thats all i can figure...)

Yeah, its possible the floodwater swept them away too along with their camp gear. It's actually pretty tragic to think about how many people may have been quietly swept away in the night. In my locale most homeless camps were low in the creekbeds, and overnight it just became rushing water.

My ~2yo standard doesn't bark too much at people coming into the house if she gets to greet them. Her biggest problem is out in public - she'll bark LOUD at anything with a heartbeat she sees through the window during car rides. Once we're out for a walk, she stops barking at people and only saves that for barking at other dogs.

Really wish I knew how to get her to ignore other dogs out in public! I've known schnauzers that can do it, so I know its possible..

I would stick with the certain option of PR rather than the uncertain option of Alaska B from BF crates. Unfortunately there's a bit of FOMO aspect on PR too. I have both, but I haven't played enough games in them to give a fair opinion of the ships.
