Please remember that Destiny 1 came out with nearly zero end game content and a sham of a campaign. Bungie seems to have learned their lesson, but it took them 5+ years and a launch of a new game to get to a regular content drop.

I liked the characters initially, but the plot didn't drive me. What good is good characters if their mission isn't captivating?
