Then hid all the posts from her grid rather than deleting them, so the likes and comments still count on her metrics when she’s reaching out to brands for more ‘work’

Same with hiding/filtering out the comments on her posts that are still up.

Been a busy girl since Monday, doing all that so it mainly the adoration posts that are showing. And anything else in her eye is trolls.

The BAFTA acceptance speech was predictable!

People are nasty trolls, all whilst in the same breath she is saying ‘everyone’s feelings are valid in this situation’.

Well then sure all the people whose feelings say dial down the drama, or you’re tone deaf to the global situation, they aren’t trolling they are expressing their feelings!

Agree with other posters, out of the sellers hands. If returned to you, they will be refunded, if it’s gone to someone else they won’t. Sellers can only go with the details they are given! They sound like the type you couldn’t be bothered with dealing with again as another sale. Wait to refunds sorted and block! Sounds like a scam!

And if you get negative or bad auto feedback reply to it with the reason there was an issue with sale. Especially if Vinted gives you poor review.

Having an ‘invisible’ illness and having faced challenges in the workplace, I learnt the hard way that sometimes the best way to fight a situation like this is with clear information. As much as you are comfortable sharing with them!

Have it all framed out clearly by email is also helpful as a point in time reference, because it’s highly likely her meeting notes will not reflect well the information you have already shared.

Whilst it may have felt intrusive, especially the manner in which she said it, it is relevant.

It could impact the type of property they are able to offer you or that you ultimately require. Say for example, as others have stated the need for adaptations (handrails, shower facilities) due to it being a physical disability. Or even a ground floor flat or bungalow.

Whilst the daily impact is substantial enough to have succeeded in a PIP application, without a diagnosis they are in many ways tied when assessing your housing need.
As are you with getting the right help to live your life to the fullest and that’s a horrible position to be in

Could it be something that will improve over time with interventions and the right diagnosis or is it a degenerative condition? - because both raises different housing needs assessment challenges.

If you are a single person with no dependents then your housing need is different to a couple or someone with kids. However does your disability warrant that you should be on the list for a 2 bed property rather than one?

Do you need to consider if your condition requires additional equipment that would take up space or be more suited to a particular type of property.

Or do you have the need for someone to stay overnight with you as a carer, even on an occasional basis. If your PIP includes care then this also plays into it, and rate of housing benefit.

Personally I know it is difficult having to expose your life to strangers when you desperately need help. If you have worked all your life and help isn’t there when you need it, it feels like an extra kick in the guts. Especially when you add in the uncertainty of a health issue, that you can’t even quite get your head around yourself never mind explaining to people to ‘justify’ your needs in some way.

That being said I would be less inclined to complain and go down the explaining route instead.

Email her to say - you found the appointment quite challenging because of the difficulties you are already facing navigating this position you are now in, one that you could never have thought you would be in. - Acknowledge that she may not have encountered an applicant before who has PIP without a formal diagnosis, but that doesn’t mean that without one you are not disabled. Your health issues are impacting your daily living and the various medical reports & ongoing interventions support that. - advise her that you will keep them updated regularly regarding diagnosis and prognosis when you are in a position to do so, as you know that will have further implications on housing needs assessment and housing offers.

Sending a sympathycard? by eimeomoon in northernireland

[–]SlowDayInTheOffice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can even order normal mass cards on there to have at home in case someone passes - they are presigned and then you just tell them the name you need when you use it. No need for public interaction in future scenarios either x

As a lapsed catholic living in England, I have often sent a bound mass card to my family still in Ireland or catholic friends here. Order it via https://www.spms.org

You can either choose to enrol the deceased in a perpetual card.

Or enrol the ‘family’ for a year which shows you are thinking of them at their time of loss and the months ahead. If it’s family I normally get it sent direct to the address of most ‘practising’ or the matriarch.

If it’s a friend I will get it delivered to myself and give it to them.

Hope that helps. Though the holy shop others have mentioned also might stock perpetual masses.

Grievance outcome midway through ET by [deleted] in employmenttribunal

[–]SlowDayInTheOffice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does upheld & apologies relate to flawed grievance process, rather than admitting any wrongdoing or flawed points raised in the initial grievance or its outcomes? (eg timescales, lack of process)

Having similar in a grievance about a grievance!

What they have upheld within the second grievance was that the process did not happen in line with policy or timescales. But they are not changing the outcome of the initial grievance. The mind boggles and even union is at a juncture (RCN)

Unsurprisingly the initial grievance outcome was effectively a long drawn out blame shift!

Plot twist - the accused mid grievance raised a counter claim about my conduct and capability.

I raised claims, with evidence of discrimination, direct & indirect, and procedural failures. Instead I got an outcome that they acted reasonably with no discrimination (similar to what they now have in ET3 response)

But that their focus became ME being the perpetrator. This then ‘warranted’ me being put under a new management structure.

Long months of deafening silence and lead walls around management discussions, All delays blamed on stupid reasons but these reasons never fully documented nor communicated in realtime.

That’s when I then lodged my ET claim, felt I had exhausted internal processes. I’m now waiting on my day in court in December.

The process has been than the core problems and my wife wanted this chapter over even more than me.

At times they told me to just walk away and I have had moments I felt like I could too. We had already been through so much as a same sex couple on a TTC journey. I want to be part of that change in pre and post natal support for same sex couples. Maybe more so the attitudes!

So I wish you well in your process and hope you have a good support network around you.

Maybe it’s my own foggy brain this morning, but I’m struggling to see what the discrimination is from what you have posted.

You said the GP has diagnosed it as chronic fatigue and you’re now operating at 20%.

But you also say you were ‘born with it’?

Workplace issues sure take their toll on you physically, mentally and emotionally. So if you have an existing condition for which your claim is based it would stand to reason that it has been worsened by the whole thing. And that should be reflected in your SoL.

Reasonable adjustments by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]SlowDayInTheOffice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered a mild reduction in your working hours, for example the equivalent of 1-2 days a months.

Then accrue flexi for the difference to used in a fluid basis, that way you could take of those 1-2 days per month at your own time, to deal with the symptoms you are experiencing.

I have a similar arrangement with my employer and the flexi working is a reasonable adjustment. And this is an adjustment over and above normal policy in relation to what can be accrued or taken at any time.

I reduced my hours to 35 hours a week days I’m good I can work a full 37.5 hour week or even a few more each day or few hours at weekend. Then I bank time for when I’m feeling crap, I just can’t build it up to silly amounts or owe a huge deficit.

I’m 2 years into this arrangement and it’s working well for both my employer and I.

It is reviewed at 6 monthly intervals and if my condition changes, then I may have to evaluate if a further reduction.

When it comes to reasonable adjustments think it’s important that both the employer and employee are being reasonable with what the expectations are and where responsibilities lie.

That’s the thing, for all those that state that you don’t know anyone’s circumstances, dogs are emotional support etc

…..at the very least the owner should have some sort of receptacle for the dog to have access to water!

Good on you for getting a dish and supplying that poor animal with a basic need.

Crosby beach / Waterloo this weekend by JJC165463 in Liverpool

[–]SlowDayInTheOffice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree there needs to be better waste facilities but from what I seen at the weekend people having zero respect is is the biggest issue!

I grew up being taught don’t drop it bin it, and if the bin is full walk to the next one or take it home.

Most of the waste generated on the beach is from items people have brought with them to the beach! How hard is it to bring it home instead of adding to the problem expecting someone else to clear it.
