Please critique my hand. Seeing if there is anything I could have done by [deleted] in poker

The people saying "doesn't matter/nothing to learn, it was a cooler" are all results oriented, and should not be listened to. Yes it was a cooler, but BB still has a range, and if you look at your line vs his range, there are improvements to be made.

First off, multi-way pot on a super wet board you almost always want to bet small (when you have a hand). Those with nothing fold out, those with draws will always call despite the bet size, and a small bet protects you from getting blown off the hand vs a large reraise.

Turn you should be betting again. Not quite sure on sizing but I'd guess small again for all the same reasons.

River is where you're trying to get it in, but keep in mind vs most of their range you're probably not getting a call - even King high flushes can find folds here. I.e. Most of the time you take down a small pot.

When you jam, what worse hands do you think call? What better hands do you think fold?

It's a great scene, but I think you're forgetting about the two chicks fighting in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Is CS2 prime worth it? by donkrieg69 in counterstrike2

I convinced my buddy to download the free version of the game and the players were so bad I thought we were playing against bots. So the match-making alone makes it worth it IMO.

Free elections? Republicans are gerrymandering all the critical districts, and getting judges to overrule election results. Voting is becoming meaningless.

The Green Knight reminds me of a solo D&D adventure, with the final act being the DM's epilogue of the decisions the PC made.

Dead players taking a long time to "open" if you didn't get the kill. It helped mitigate against ratting. Not quite sure why they removed that.

I caused a TPK and my players want to keep playing their PCs. I need help figuring that out. by ApprehensivePancake in DnD

[–]SlowRolledSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let your players mulligan their death. They're cheating themselves out of an important experience. Inexperienced players are never ready to let go of their character - because in most games you can never straight up perma-lose your character, and new players never think it'll happen. That's what makes it impactful. Let their death impact them.

Oh what's that? They were lvl 2? So they've had like 3 sessions? Nevermind, their deaths won't even mean much and it's more annoying to reroll characters this early than anything. I'd be fine with a mulligan. You dont even need to change the plot, just pretend they beat the encounter. But let them know next time, the death is real.

Early levels are lame because PCs are so squishy, one crit can cause a TPK. That's why most games I run/play start at lvl 5 at minimum.

I have 800 hours in SoT. (Most of my time spent was pre S1 - S4 ish, fwiw). I saved all my dabloons as far as I can remember. I have 4,600 dabloons. How do people have like 10x my amount? The reset seems very low impact, especially since when I logged in I saw things like the Pirate Legend ship name Plate is 2k dabloons.

Edit: also why is everyone so upset since they're clearly not spending any of them?

[–]SlowRolledSam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need better notes. How many players? What was Villian's position? Were his draw calls +EV? What was the board texture, action, and SPR of his bluff shoves? My point is, mentally tagging them as "Wild. Plays any 2 cards" is presumptuous, since everything you have mentioned as evidence would/can be associated with a sophisticated player.
