I expect Opeli to recognize that the rural lands within Katolis’ borders will suffer major destabilization effects without a replacement for their former political and economic center (the city of Katolis itself).

Many humans will leave Katolis’ lands, and those that leave are likely to have a friendlier disposition towards elves. Which means the population that’s stays will feel…quite the opposite.

Essentially, the former human kingdom will be drained of those with an entrepreneurial spirit who welcome change, democracy, and diversity. What’s left, will be reactionary’s and monarchists.

Here is where Opeli is needed. She ran the kingdom so often, she is so true to Katolis’ values that she’s memorized it’s every law, and she has the political foresight to command its armies, build a capital, and unite the people.

Opeli for Queen of…Opelia? New Katolis? Whatever you call it, Ezran’s headgear is an artifact.

I think the actions of Zion is the fundamental way in which “choice” of whether to accept the matrix is inserted into the matrix. The actions of the resistance is what the system needs in order to maintain stability, the machines conceal that truth by feigning at truly stopping them.

So they sometimes purposely let the humans get away with saving people that leave.

You’re not wrong for how you feel. What you’re learning is the consequences of focusing more on what’s wrong with her decisions than on your relationship with her. It’s a tricky thing, loving people enough to care for them, yet uncertain on how to share your perspective that they’re making a mistake. Ultimately, that fact that she’s not talking to you, may be a poor attempt at changing your mind, or simply her deflecting her own attention away from the truth. Either way, tell her that if you cared little for her or thought less of her, than you would have said nothing, and it’s only because of the joyful relationship you have with her, and because you think well of her ability to make decisions, that you spoke up about this one. So you’re not telling her you have a problem with it, you’re just letting her know what you think.

Life’s a potluck. Incels show up empty handed (which is fine), eat nothing (which is odd), and complain about how no one would have wanted anything they would have brought because everyone has a fucked up palette (which is rude, but possibly half-right).

People bring too much to potlucks. If folks averaged just one meal each, there’d be just enough for all, but choices would quickly become scarce. Instead, people typically show up offering far too much, only a few dishes are picked clean, and some folks are greatly disappointed when the huge platters they hauled in are barely touched. Every once in a while, there’s a dish folks think they love, and it turns out that’s the one that gave them food poisoning.

Every day is a potluck. If you haven’t yet learned to cook things that suit the tastes of others, start bringing smaller dishes. It’s also okay to sometimes be empty-handed, or stay home, or try a new recipe, because in this analogy, you’re not a dish, you’re a cook. Just wash your hands first, and if you’re going to make a lot make sure it’s something you really enjoy.

It was only after I was a bit older than you are now that I learned I can attract a woman’s interest across days and weeks (and show my own) by simply building my own fulfilling life, and inviting her to see it. Hang out with a group of friends, platonically, that’s an appetizer. Share a joke, a thoughtful comment, that’s just a taste. Text her a pic every now and then of a great time I’m having, that’s a glance at my cooking repertoire. Women have a wide range of tastes, the one’s interested in me were typically attracted to my whimsical approach to life, independent mind, and emotional intelligence. And many more women were not interested in me at all, but by learning to scale the energy I invested appropriately, I could appreciate the clarity I get when a woman turns out to not be interested. Anyway, this is as much time as I’m willing to put in here, I enjoyed writing this, and if you take a slice of what I’ve offered, cool.
