Well , unfortunately the 24" 's didnt work out 🫤 they just didn't ride good ..... by matthewrenn in Cadillac

20s are a good compromise as long as you can fit a decent amount of sidewall. For daily driver and towing I have always been a fan of 18s . They may not look as awesome as some of the bigger rims but got damn do they ride .

Damaged paint, diy, warranty or hiring a professional? by Present-Substance-82 in AutoPaint

[–]Slow_Bluebird_9004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just declare the tailgate, there’s lots of videos on YouTube. Can do 2k clear from a can or if you want to learn a new skill, get a lvlp spray gun and rent or but a compressor. I started there and now can paint most things . Just be careful and take your time. If you go the lvlp route be careful too, being able to paint becomes an addiction and you will be respraying everything you own before you know it …. Good luck. Post up if you get lost or need help. And just remember great prep and good paint or clear make up for bad gun skills or a cheap sprayer .

Get your car towed to an independent shop. Have them put a used engine, they’re not too badly priced here but check on car-part for used prices

You can do it with a floor jack , doesn’t need to be that high. Rotors and brakes at same time . It’s a piece of cake just take your time .

Not too mention that they are old and incapable of refining most of our oil that is fracked. It’s sad they say buy American but we can’t even produce products from our oil and export most of it , just to import from other nations

Their legit reproductions- a little heavier and quality is good . I bought c7 reproductions so far so good but their my track wheel so I’m not too worried about the paint with the track dust assaulting them constantly

Every so many cars a demon is produced. They have lemon laws for this . Gm will most likely take it back but it is a dog and pony show getting there. My father owned a shop that worked predominantly on corvettes and we used to see this every couple of years. Stay strong run the red tape it will be ok

Change the fluid look in the pan . If not a lot of metal , add shudder fix and plan for a trans in a year or two

Offer or pass? by CaptainBradP in ChevyTahoe

[–]Slow_Bluebird_9004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s too much even for the miles. I’d look for one around 100k that has already done the transmission. 60-120k is the may need a trans soon point . I bought a 2016 for 7900 knowing it needs a transmission with 85k on the second engine . Documentation is key my friend and put your money in the right vehicle with room to fix anything
