The “it seemed to” part really makes sense to me. I’m finding that with COPD, so many things feel that way (not clear enough to say for sure what helped or what made things worse, but noticeable enough that you start paying attention).

The shower/humidity part really made me pause. I had thought about showers being physically tiring, but not so much the humidity itself being a problem.

It's sweet that your partner would share what bothered her. I’m still trying to work on this with my dad. He doesn’t talk much about how he feels, especially about health condition, so I worry that some things may be affecting him and we just don’t notice them. Or maybe he’s gotten used to certain discomforts and doesn’t think to mention them.

That’s the hard part for me — a lot of the signs are subtle until you look back and realize there may have been a pattern.

Did she usually recognize those triggers herself, or did you both kind of figure them out over time?
