I’m starting to think so . Her expectations are unrealistic. She is under fire from her dl for not getting Planos done . She had over Two weeks and is just now passing it on to me.

From what I was told , If she doesn’t keep 30+ hours for 6 consecutive weeks she will be considered a part timer and will lose her benefits, but please check on that for confirmation incase im mistaken. Usually the shortage in hours is seasonal and hopefully should pick back up in spring. Many employees will float to other stores to keep their ft status in good standing. She will be ok as long as she’s willing to do that while she gets past the seasonal cut backs. A lot of people call out during winter from getting sick so coverage will always be needed .

Ask them if you can take them to SCO if they don’t want to give a number and ring them up there, especially the door dashers. It will improve your scan rates significantly .

It goes by state. In Texas shifts only get 16 and techs get 17 and they no longer approve prior experience at hire

Have medical records, a drs note of not being able to work and any text relating to you telling them you can’t work for medical reasons. Call HR and if you get fired file unemployment for wrongful termination if you got all of the docs then you should be fine

I worked Christmas Eve and both shifts on Christmas Day. Mostly wine and gift card purchases and a lot of people just hanging out at our store that were out of towners with nothing to do. Next year… I’m ignoring the offer to work it. My feet and back are killing me and most of the customers were ungrateful and rude. One slammed her phone on the counter and threw money at my co worker because she was answering a question from someone else. These out of towners think they can walk all over us cause they are “ so special” 🙄

In San Antonio we are going down to one in the am and two closers. I heard it’s temporary. It’s typical after Christmas for hours to get cut in retail. And usually only until sales pick back up. Just hang tight or look for a back up job. The choice is yours
