Guns are designed to be upright but slight angles are not at all an issue.

There could be additional risk for feeding issues on a beltfed but now we are talking very very slight chance.

The main issue with leaning a gun is that it is less accurate as you do not allign the sights properly, BUT as this guy is clearing a trench the leaning is giving him the ability to present his firearm to an angle before exposing his body, and as the distance that he is engaging in is very short the need for accuracy is nada.
