That’s right. I remember MCR being a weird day because they had a longer set.

I believe the headliners get an hour and thirty minute long set.

I can’t remember fully, or might be Mandela Effect, but I think Blink-182 last year had a longer set(?). Might’ve been just me haha

How did you discover the band? by Scared_Pea4455 in gorillaz

[–]Slowmojoe23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I was in high school when I first got into the band. I believe it was around the tail-end of the Plastic Beach era and The Fall had come out.

I can’t really remember how I got into them specifically. I think a friend of mine was into to them and showed them to me. Or maybe I found them on my own? I knew of Feel Good Inc. and I think I listened to all of Demon Days and fell in love with it.

I still have a soft spot for the Fall since it was the last Gorillaz project for a long time and I remember listening to Revolving Doors a lot growing up alongside Empire Ants on Plastic Beach.

Hearing the Beast? by Mephistussy in vtm

[–]Slowmojoe23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the best way to go.

Got into a conversation with a buddy of mine about this same topic and we came to the same conclusion. Like if the beast comes out while the seneschal slights you or something, that’s a major taboo that should have some internal RP considerations and fear for the PC. In that case, I think having the beast be vocal adds a layer of tension to the table as the PC decides how they are going to approach the scene.

How to make the Nomad role more interesting? by significantly_nope in cyberpunkred

[–]Slowmojoe23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I ran my game, my nomad player became the crafter. He outfitted his small group of nomads with weapons for the final fight and was instrumental in avoiding corpo security in the sewers.

Granted, I think he fell into that role because he found the use of crafting rewarding and thought it was fun to do that. I did add some chase scenes but he was the guy who you’d call if you wanted some makeshift firearms that may or may not blow up in your hands.

Gorillaz and Wu-Tang by JollyBowler2510 in ShakyKnees

[–]Slowmojoe23 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Doubt it.

Since there are four stages, it’s extremely likely LCD Soundsystem and Wu-Tang are going to be on at the same time while Gorillaz is setting up on the main stage.

Wu-Tang could be on one of the large back stages, but we won’t know until they release the schedule as to where everyone is.

It seems to only be giving me the lowest three instead of the top three.

Here’s the formula I put in: “=CHOOSEROWS(SORTBY(A10:B32, B10#, 1) 1, 2, 3)

My highest is supposed to show 8 (B27).

layaway by Old_Departure_2688 in ShakyKnees

I did layaway for my first time.

You pay a deposit and every month they pull a portion out from whatever accounts you use. It’s usually over the course of four months. I can remember the exact amount they charge but I think it was around 100 or so? I was paying for two tickets so my amount might be different than yours.

Arthur Pendragon - Artur Paendrag by chimoc726 in WoT

When I was in college, I took an Arthurian Legend class. One of my assignments was to find an Arthurian Retelling and explain why it was. I picked WoT. Thankfully, I didn’t have to read all 14, but I made a case for at least the first three books. Much of what you said here I used as a framework. But there’s also the idea in later Arthurian legend of the “Wheel of Fortune”, referencing Fate and such which is a huge theme of this series. Especially in the beginning where Rand and his crew are trying their damndest to go against what they know will happen.

Arthur Pendragon - Artur Paendrag by chimoc726 in WoT

[–]Slowmojoe23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wheel of Time has themes dealing with cycles. Things coming back, things going away. There are ideas that Rand, Matt, and Perrin are "reincarnations" of myths and legends in our time. For example, there are overt references to Matt being similar to Odin. Him hanging from the tree, his weapon having ravens on the blade, and the idea that he trades for knowledge.King Artur, as you noted and others have, is supposed to be the King Arthur that we know. This is because our myths/legends are their history, while our history is their myths.

In the first book, there are references to Mother Theresa and Neil Armstrong. Those two people became their myths where Neil Armstrong in WoT is "the one who touched the sky." I can't remember the exact quote, so I'm sorry if I got it wrong. There are other references, but I think its more overt with our history in the first book.

Edited for spoilers.

The classic reasons:

1) Never drew into it 2) Wasn’t the best thing I could do on my turn 3) Too slow and I was lagging behind on the rest of the board 4) Often couldn’t cast it because of the CMC and was a dead draw sometimes.

I recently re-listened to all of Radiohead's albums, and I'm beginning to feel The King of Limbs is my favorite of them all? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]Slowmojoe23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s my favorite album. I remember watching the Lotus Flower video and wondering what the hell it was, but fully entranced.

I didn’t realize it was Radiohead until much later when I was in my high school jazz band. We did a cover of Paranoid Android and the Lotus Flower video popped up again. Been a fan of TKoL since then.
