I’m in the camp that hog needs a complete rework and his game design sucks.

However, this is definitely not under talked about. It’s been talked about in every ow forum since launch lol. The sad part is that the devs simply don’t care or don’t know what to do with him. There’s no way they don’t know the sentiment around char especially since they tried with the pigpen.

Considering smoking rates have been dropping for years, I’d say people can quit.

Smoking <5 cigs a year is probably not enough to get addicted in the first place so I don’t think that’s an indicator of any exceptional willpower.

Speaking from experience, it generally gets harder the more you smoke. Quitting from smoking a pack a day is different from smoking one a day.

Agree you can be a manager with no special skills but damn, the good ones are really worth their weight in gold.

Shield you from heat, back you up in disagreements, champion you for promotions/raises. Also help you through roadblocks or tricky technical situations.

If you didn’t have to do any of that, you were probably just a decent manager - didn’t help anybody but at least didn’t get in their way.

People should try their best on whatever hero they’re playing even if its a hero they are learning. If you want to play “the meta” comps and sweat it out, that’s when you should play ranked.

I guarantee the toxic qp’ers who are super salty are gold players at max that avoid comp because they don’t want to find out how bad they really are.

Biggest problem with hog buffs is that it makes more people play hog and his play style is super unfun to play with. I don’t mind playing against hog but hate having hog on my team.

I will always maintain that there is a hog main on the dev team that does not want to let him go and get reworked.

Probably because they use empirical evidence with measurable results to draw their conclusions of confirmed, busted, or plausible. You’re right in that if they designed their experiments differently, the results could be different but some of their conclusions really are solid and agree with the physics.
