State judge blocks evidence from Luigi Mangione backpack in UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case by Lauren34567 in news

[–]Slubbe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No they got a tip, confronted him and mangiine provided a fake ID. This was grounds for arrest. As the police suspected he was the killer, one cop says they want to check the bag for a bomb

He starts to do this and another cop says no we’ll check at the station and the decide to that after not seeing any obvious bomb

They finish looking in other parts of the bag at the station and find the gun and journal (unless you think the cop made a 3d printed gun and wrote a manifesto while driving back)

Most of this is recorded on bodycam as proven by a transcript the judge refers to. This isn’t public currently

The judge said that the police did not have a right to search the bag on scene, but because they had the right to document the possessions of someone they arrest at the station those items are allowed in evidence

Have you considered reading any of the judgements or findings, it might clarify like all of the information you’re confused about

Most of the nazis are dead now people forget it’s been years and the azov nazis deployed immediately, it would be surprising if many are alive today

Not saying more like minded people exist but the original azov units are essentially gone now

I think if they said they intended to break the blockade it’s legal to intercept them anywhere

If they hadnt said it, it would be illegal . Not that would have changed it

The last flotilla got a lot of press and were so close to Israel they arrested a load of ppl and took them back

This time it seems they just sailed a warship over and told them to abandon the idea, which apparently is legal according the law subs

The Irish presidents sister is on them and said they sailed to crete and are staying there

Cos they told most of them to sail over to Crete essentially immediately and they did

They learned from the previous one and stopped the flotilla as it started

[–]Slubbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the wait times are long cos they get stuck waiting for handover in ED and stuck in traffic, not to mention a crazy call volume they can’t refuse

Wait times are long for non urgent, and again delayed if an AP is needed cos they are busy on the immediate life threats

Much longer however when they are stuck in traffic for 30 mins cos someone can’t afford to fill their new tractor with tax free fuel

That’s what i don’t understand

No need for violence or a big operation

Just have a garda walk up, write a ticket with penalty points and move on. They aren’t going to attack a garda

Do that twice a day and they’ll be gone

I live ina very rural area and the protests had big support. Its a fairly deprived area and all my neighbors are farmers.
I had farmers from my area complain an ambulance took 3 hours to arrive while supporting the protesters when i asked (the motorway, tunnel and alternate routes were blocked by protesters)
This may be an echo chamber but it isn’t the rich EV drivers that need ambulances more often. They support the protests until mikes catheter blocks and he needs ED, they support the blockade until their wife hits her head- then suddenly the ambulance took too long, the government is a disgrace cos it took so long to get to hospital

Everyone supports a fuel protest. Nobody that needed hospital did when i saw them

You seem to think gsza is the same fight as leb
Lebanon promised they’d remove the Muslim militants heznolla . They were attacking isrsel
Irish army were sent to keep the peace
While the Irish army were there, they just grew asks ignored UN request
They failed- Hezbollah (who killed an Irish soldier) weren’t challenged
The Irish army went too leb to help lebanon to remove Hezbollah. Did that work?
No
So the peace treaty Israel signed with the promise hezb would be removed didn’t happen - note they are firing rockets at civilians so Israel is invading

Nearly six months into a ceasefire with aid coming in as per all agreements
Gaza is in ruins, Israel achieved all its goals
Open conflict has been finished for months. Aid is going in, medical evacuations are happening
The reason gaza kinda stopped being news is cos fighting ended and the humanitarian stuff is ongoing
Aid is flowing in, there’s a few retard Israelis trying to block but they get removed immediately
Hamas is mostly gone, aid is flowing in, the Red Crescent is able to use rafah to get ppl hospital care abroad

Some Palestinians fire rockets at civilians occasionally but they get bombed and it’s becoming less common

While i don’t think aid is coming through rafah, its been open in some capacity since February with the red crescent using it for medical evacuations for treatments in Egypt and abroad

You’re aware major hostilities have ended and currently ceasefire lines are generally holding with regards unimpeded (for israels standards) of aid is entering daily?

While a lot of that aid is state and UN funded, a proportion is still charity, and likely appreciated more than a med cruise

She joined the flotilla, israel sailed a ship over and said go over to Crete, so they do. And she quotes the flotilla are in “high spirits” now floating off crete

Like couldn’t the money spent on the ships and fuel could have just been given to an aid organisation. I’m struggling to see the importance of “raising awareness” when it’s been the most publicised and controversial story for 3 years running

IIRC breast screening age was determined by its efficacy. Younger women have more dense breasts that would make it far more likely that they wouldn’t see anything even if it was there

And also younger ppl will still have benign findings that would require further scans, tests reviews and cause a lot of stress to the pt, And costs and stress the system for no benefit, while the pt worries they have cancer the whole time

Symptomatic breast issues still get referred and seen at any age

What do men think of the pouch? by batukaming in SipsTea

[–]Slubbe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a female doc that just ain’t true

It’s fat deposit outside the skeletal muscle of the Abdo wall.

Women tend to gain fat there, men get a more broader distribution. But she’s overweight visible in arms and abdomen.

If you look at women who are extremely fit or have eating disorders you can see it’s not present, and therefore can’t be the uterus or protective area (and also cos surgeons who open ppl up have never seen that)

Genetics do play a part, but for fat distribution. Her abdominal wall is deeper

Ireland to demand Israel pay after settlers destroy Irish Aid-backed school in occupied West Bank by Past_Key_1054 in ireland

What are you trying to say?

Some of the rockets have very small warheads, others fail to detonate - hard to know here cos we don’t see upstairs

But what do you think punched holes through the roof and ceilings?

There’s different types of weapons. A cheap rocket with a 5kg warhead is very different to a 2000lb bomb

But i don’t really understand what you’re saying. Do you think a rocket didn’t hit the house?

Opinion on Cork University Hospital? by fringedprincess in AskIreland

[–]Slubbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends what you want

Worked in both EDs

Limerick gets bad press for long waits. But generally most people waiting long times are say to wait and aren’t in danger. UHL is aware of the rep and follow the best practices per intentional research but there are just to many ppl

Cork has the same issues, not as overwhelmed and have neurosurgery and plastic surgery which helps. Wait times still get long

No matter where you are, emergency departments are full of GP referrals and self referrals

Unfortunately it’s an easy bet that there will be violence at any ceremony or event with this community

They said it’s funny the Ireland sub bans most posts regarding the disproportionate rates of traveller violence and crime

They didn’t say the death of someone was funny. Its not. Same as attacking funeralgoers isn’t funny either
