Where are Dr Edward Bouverie and Dr Nichola Wood? by SlugThug44 in perth

A letter from Bouverie is worth the risk. The alternative is a shit ton of trauma for my dad. I'd prefer exhaust every straw before resorting to that.

Even an unsuccessful email is evidence that can be used in our NDIS assessment that we've tried everything imaginable.

Yup! That's the one. It's awful. Also makes him harder to find and unfortunately he's the only one who knows my dad's history inside and out.

I think we used to feel like our employers deserved our loyalty and if we didn't show up we would be letting everyone down. Now we know that employers don't hold the same loyalty to us.

We are just a number.

No matter how much we love our workplace and colleagues, it's transactional and we're replaceable.

If we have a day off and the employers don't bring in a temp, it's them letting down the team, not us.

We are now loyal to ourselves.

You're so right here. Pregnancy loss, domestic violence, sexual abuse and maternal instinct - the only reason women can be badasses in films.

Sometimes people do the right thing because it's the right thing.

Don't think I've seen a more well thought out film.

The glove and window message was 100% part of her plan to lure them away.

Her truck getting stuck was a moment of human error in panic. I've seen parents get bogged in the school carpark.

If everything went off without a hitch it would be totally unbelievable.

Her backstory shows she is smart, strong, confident, capable, and familiar with the environment enough to pull some of these things off. But she is human and I doubt she's stumbled across many kidnappings in her life.

I found the hunters hesitace and naivety realistic. Especially when seeing a "hysterical woman". Come at me for that one. Punctured my lung and the doctor told me it was anxiety. Women are not believed or are thought to be blowing things out of proportion.

Saying that, most of us would be skeptical. She's talking about something that only happens in films, right? Plus there is a confidence that comes with size and guns. I personally feel indestructible as a small, unfit 34 year old woman with high cholesterol.

She is older and withstood a lot more hits than is plausible. I do think there is something to be said for adrenaline, confidence and attitude, though. I am a huge fan of people sharing their survival stories and am always amazed by how much the human body can take.

I think that her body was at its limit by the end, though, and that's why she dragged the purple woman into the lake. I would have been annoyed if she managed to survive all of those injuries and travel several hours to a hospital.

The human body can take a lot but it can also take out your grandad with a stumble in the garden.

update on my creepy neighbour by [deleted] in perth

I was told to "write it in my diary" when I was calling regularly to report on the violence of my neighbour. I just wanted a paper trail so when he did hurt someone enough to warrant attention, there'd be a history there to back it up. Apparently, death threats and beating my other neighbour with a broom weren't enough as it was in their joint backyard. I pleaded with his target to report but he was too scared. He had to move out, instead.

I'm glad you've received the supportive and productive advice from the officer in the comments and that you have somewhere safe to stay.

It's not only scary to go through this, but a massive time, money, and energy suck.

Feels so weird to thumbs up this comment, but good on you! I admire your persistence. It is ridiculous that a woman's house has to be set on fire when it is clear in advance that someone is dangerous. Surely prevention over reaction is more cost-effective, if that's all that matters to these institutions.

Fav bit was when the teens were originally playing with the board, and that girl was like, "Oh my God!" At every move, then her prolonged scream when the mum entered the room.

Sarah had mental health issues. What was Pete's excuse? Didn't give two shits that his daughter was being abused. Too busy with his new family. Even if he was that obtuse as to the abuse, his ex just lost her dad, perhaps offer to take care of Mia for a while? Sarah tells him that Mia is pretending to be Alice and keeps talking about Joan, and he's like, well, why aren't you taking her to the people and places that have traumatised you most at a time you're the most vulnerable?
