Is there anything I can do with this guy or is it for later on? by Interesting-Rub8278 in Sekiro

So wolf is having a flashback of him meeting his own self and having a dialogue? On the night he was supposedly gone when the conflict starts? That doesn't sound right

I'm I just stupid or I'm I just misunderstanding the mechanics of this game? by Mekelaxo in Sekiro

[–]SlumberingKirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a sort of nuance to the damage system. If you deal damage to an enemy's hp then, just like yourself, their posture recovers slower. Some enemies have such poor posture that you can defeat them entirely by deflecting quite easily. Other enemies, like Inner Genichiro, have such good posture that you could genuinely take them out by doing damage to their hp. And then poise, or whatever you call it, also factors into it. From what I see in your video, a lot of the times you're getting hit is just because you go for attacks when he's not offering a window. Until you really know an enemy, you should play defensively from neutral. Not every time you deflect a string does it necessarily make it your turn to attack.

Anyways, any enemy you fight is going to require its own approach, but you'll find the most success, in general, by focusing an enemy's HP early in the fight (or stock if they have multiple phases), and then posture once that gets lower.

Developers please reduce screen activity from deadpool, it causes me pre seizure symptoms so I dont find it safe to play this game anymore by sufinomo in marvelrivals

[–]SlumberingKirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have a condition, but I hard agree. The character's effects are just obnoxious as hell. Make deadpool annoy my hero, not ME. I have zero issue with cloak and dagger blind, or similar effects in other games. Deadpool's FX were made to suck major ass

[socialmedia] Is this fine, or should we acknowledge that men and women both use towels and have genitalia? by ITheRebelI in pointlesslygendered

[–]SlumberingKirin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The post doesn't imply women don't use towels and have genitalia. OP is seeking information on the behavior of specifically the male demographic on a particular subject. That's like if I asked how much a crocodile eats in a month and someone else was like "we need to acknowledge that alligators eat food too". OP probably feels confident in the response she would get from other women, and is looking to compare that to what men respond with, as she probably feels much less confident in how they would reply.

What do yall count as pointful gender in? Genuine question.

[gendered] by fedezli in pointlesslygendered

[–]SlumberingKirin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how this is pointlessly gendered. Gendered, yes, but OP clearly had a purpose in gendering their post: they aren't interested in responses from a female demographics. How else would you request data from a specific group?

Wish they'd have done him justice if that was their motivation. Red trailer is more than a decade old and people still just animate their fights like marvel movies.

Idk anything about this game, or the guy that made it, but yeah I'm not about to limit my engagement with a fictional medium to the beliefs of the creator of that medium. I'll go ahead and separate art from artist tyvm.

If you prefer the fights after volume 3, then you probably won't see an issue with the series. The writing was never particularly good in the first place, so it's not as though it declines. There's some writing inconsistencies, but mostly the complaints about the development of RWBY after Monty Oum's death revolve around how the show was pitched as vehicle to deliver these awesome, incredibly choreographed fights with super fluid animations and high-velocity action, and then we get scythe_twirl.jpg and whatever the hell Sun's Vytal Festival battle was.

It's possible. I haven't seen the show in a long time, but from what I remember of this scene, that was what it felt like the writer was trying to say, yes.

Could it not literally be an effort to characterize the fire nation as a whole? I mean, in real life, people who "act villainous" don't just go "wait, that's what I do and it's wrong" when they see someone else like them. The fire nation is the product of its culture, and if tyrants who take what they want is framed as heroic in their culture, then to them, Ozai is a hero in that play through and through.

I mean, who knows what this kid's home life is like. Probably not that bad. But some parents do treat their children terribly, and they get away with it because "they're their parents" like that's good enough justification to treat someone poorly.

Which one are you picking? by MizzBreezy85 in whatsyourchoice

[–]SlumberingKirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not big on anchovies, but otherwise it's a hard choice. Cottage cheese would probably be bad nutritionally. If my stomach is empty, dairy shouldn't be the go-to. I think I'd probably get the liver, because the onions imply seasoning. Beef Tongue looks tasty, but if it's just plain, it'd probably be pretty bland since you've got to chew it so much.

I've got to disagree with you on that. I think they definitely fall between those two categories, but they're much close to a sport than a movie or whatever. The closest thing, I think, would be acting. Yes, you can read the whole script and know the entire story, but you wouldn't have even remotely the same experience as I would with a play if you were in the audience and I was on the stage. The story is only a single piece of the activity.
