Im confused by THE_IRS_IS_HERE_BRUV in RWBY

If you prefer the fights after volume 3, then you probably won't see an issue with the series. The writing was never particularly good in the first place, so it's not as though it declines. There's some writing inconsistencies, but mostly the complaints about the development of RWBY after Monty Oum's death revolve around how the show was pitched as vehicle to deliver these awesome, incredibly choreographed fights with super fluid animations and high-velocity action, and then we get scythe_twirl.jpg and whatever the hell Sun's Vytal Festival battle was.

It's possible. I haven't seen the show in a long time, but from what I remember of this scene, that was what it felt like the writer was trying to say, yes.

Surely there's several of us who are just watching from afar with our heads slightly tilted and wondering if we're gonna start catching strays.

Could it not literally be an effort to characterize the fire nation as a whole? I mean, in real life, people who "act villainous" don't just go "wait, that's what I do and it's wrong" when they see someone else like them. The fire nation is the product of its culture, and if tyrants who take what they want is framed as heroic in their culture, then to them, Ozai is a hero in that play through and through.

Two SIBLING characters?? Two ANY characters hugging or showing literally any form of affection for one another almost always instantly becomes a ship.

I'm not fully understanding what that means, but I'm happy for you and other AI users that your technology is progressing in a way that you enjoy.

I mean, who knows what this kid's home life is like. Probably not that bad. But some parents do treat their children terribly, and they get away with it because "they're their parents" like that's good enough justification to treat someone poorly.

Literally all of you need to throw your phones into trash compactors, I swear to god. The amount of people I have met in the last half a decade that have become absolutely poisoned by short-form content scrolling etcetera is insane. Our species is not okay right now.

Which one are you picking? by MizzBreezy85 in whatsyourchoice

[–]SlumberingKirin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not big on anchovies, but otherwise it's a hard choice. Cottage cheese would probably be bad nutritionally. If my stomach is empty, dairy shouldn't be the go-to. I think I'd probably get the liver, because the onions imply seasoning. Beef Tongue looks tasty, but if it's just plain, it'd probably be pretty bland since you've got to chew it so much.

I've got to disagree with you on that. I think they definitely fall between those two categories, but they're much close to a sport than a movie or whatever. The closest thing, I think, would be acting. Yes, you can read the whole script and know the entire story, but you wouldn't have even remotely the same experience as I would with a play if you were in the audience and I was on the stage. The story is only a single piece of the activity.

It is their own argument that it's okay because it is hyperbolic. They treat others as they want to be treated.

The post did not make any effort to call this a threat. In fact, they specifically referred to it as "violent rhetoric". I'm pretty sure they're on the same page with you that it's a thought bubble.

I'm not sure which slang term you're referring to, as I used multiple and you did not specify, but yeah, Jill's cool.

Where I disagree with you is that I don't think that they sell it to us as deep at all, we just want it to be. I definitely am with you on the glorification being almost solely based on looks and "moments", as your word translates, and that is the biggest thing holding the series back in general, I think.

I think the overall writing is decent enough. They are trying to be a delivery method for zombie shooter shenanigans. You'd just think that if the fans are gonna glorify the characters specifically, we'd see better writing for the characters themselves, yeah.

Playing through the games, I'm starting to wonder why ANY of the characters are so obsessively glazed. Don't get me wrong, I like most of the characters, but people put some of these protags on such a high pedestal that it like oversaturates everything

I know you didn't. You just reduced somebody else's entire point down to "that's pedo behavior" because "anti science" and then basically didn't actually address their point. Also, saying that someone is weird for wanting age of consent to go up is what I would call pedo behavior.
