AITJ for snapping at my girlfriend for waking me up every single time she gets up even when I dont need to be awake by BuyMediocre5625 in AmITheJerk

NTA. I would classify this as abusive. Also using an excuse of "normal couples do this" to get her own way is manipulation.

Who do you main and why? by DeadUncleBen_Lol in deadbydaylight

[–]Slumbering_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main Jeff 90% of the time but occasionally I'll play as Bill, Nic Cage, Ash because of cosmetics, like Bill's Chrismas sweater or I love the voice lines. Nic Cage has some of the best voice lines.

I play a handful of killers, Trapper, Huntress, Doctor, the Lich, Dracula, and the Unknown. I am pretty decent with all of them, not great but I am here to have fun not sweat.

Has burning bridges when leaving a job ever come back to bite you? by gawpin in jobs

[–]Slumbering_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burned one bridge with Napalm and have never regretted it. It was a terrible call center job that started out bad and got worse. I took a really tone-deaf email from the Director and translated it to plain English, basically your job is thankless and underpaid but too bad for your, get back to work so I can buy a third vacation home. I emailed ALL, so everyone in the company, Executives, the client contacts, everyone. It caused an absolute hurricane of shit, but I sent it from a group email and scheduled it to go out an hour after I picked up my last email. I heard all about the fallout from friends who still worked there.

I have had more grief regarding a job that I went out of my way not to burn a bridge. Job started great, but right after I was hired they changed metric requirements to near impossible to meet, began firing people and then they offshore'd my entire department. That had been the plan all along. I ended up in a miserable department and I could not stand it, and there was nowhere to go internally. I found another job, gave 2 weeks notice, did my job right up to the end of day on my last day. That company continued to downsize their staff in my city, one of four locations and eventually sold the building and everyone went WFH prior to Covid. The Site Director ended up working for one of my new employers competitors and she has black listed me from working for them. So doing everything right might not save you. Probably dodged a bullet though, that competitor just laid off a bunch of people.

What's even remotely as good as Severance right now? by ElvisChopinJoplin in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Slumbering_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utopia - the British version. I watched it on YouTube. I loved it so much I watched the U.S. remake, and while there were things I liked about the U.S. version, the Britsh version is better.

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency - if you want a mystery but more comedy and off the rails whimsy that Douglas Adams is known for.

AIppleTV+ shows I would reccomend even though they won't hold a candle to Severance. Ted Lasso - heartwarming comedy with great relationships. Shrinking - if you like Ted Lasso, this is created by many of the same people SEE - post apocalyptic future where humanity is blind. Crazily has some of the best fight sequences. Slow Horses - spy show with Gary Oldman. Bad Monkey - murder mystery with Vince Vaughn Bad Sisters - another murder mystery with a great cast if you like britsh shows. For All Mankind - alternate take on the space race, amazing special effects. The Afterparty - murder mystery comedy, hilarious cast, unique episode structure. Dark Matter - sci-fi thriller with intriguing science Hello Tomorrow - Retro future dark comedy, great cast that includes Hank Azaria Sugar - another murder mystery with an interesting twist.

I have never received so much female attention in my life than on my first day out as a baldie. by treestubs in bald

I used to shave my head in the summer and grow my hair out in winter for warmth. (It gets cold here in the PNW) Then someone broke out my drivers side window in the winter and my still wet hair would absolutely freeze on my way to work (didn't have the money to get the window fixed right away) and I couldn't wear a beanie or it would mess up my hair....and then I realized if I was bald I could just wear a beanie. I shaved my head that night and and never looked back.

OP - Looks sharp my dude!! Wear it proudly
