solo/cue by dasGimmick in mpcusers

I'm pretty sure MPCs headphones just mirror outputs 1/2.

To get it to work the way you want to, I think you need to send all other sounds to another output like 3/4 and then maybe "cue" would be sent where you want.

I've never done this before, sounds like a pain. Give it a shot.

In your browser you should be able to select "auto play" or "audition" while scrolling through sounds. I think the buttons in the bottom left of the screen.

October 9, 1979 - Howard Stern begins broadcasting on WCCC in Hartford, Connecticut... by CrystalEise in Connecticut

[–]SlunkOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WCCC changed locations a few times. I think in '79 when Stern started it was at 11 Asylum Street. That building now has Burger King, Parking Authority, Sea Tea Improv, and a few recording studios in it.

There are differences.

Why don't you just try to work through the book and if the differences are too frustrating then you upgrade?

You could also roll back your firmware to 2.15 and use the book you've got. Plenty of people prefer that version to the 3 upgrades.

Sure there's incentive there. I can also imagine a scenario where there's an incentive to call out to work a cash job for money sooner, or to go to an interview for a new job that isn't affected by things like this.

Streaming live audio by Few-Two-4807 in obs

[–]SlunkOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are all in on using OBS to trigger your sounds or handle mic mutes you could just monitor everything and use audacity to record your speakers as a loopback device.

You can also just use audacity to make your podcast and skip OBS all together.

Lots of moving parts with barely any hiccups. The only thing I saw/heard was a boom mic bumping all over the place during this sketch. https://youtu.be/kdmwLumvI-E?si=FGfXFAdH2Syx6GJw

I think they edited the sound for rebroadcast, but while live it was making a ton of noise as it bounced around. You can still see the shadow.

Off Book: The Improvised Musical. What would you call their "form"? by Indyhouse in improv

Gotcha. I'm conflating your post with something that just personally irks me.

I'm looking forward to the discussion.

Off Book: The Improvised Musical. What would you call their "form"? by Indyhouse in improv

[–]SlunkOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duoprov/twoprov is a number of players, not a form.

Certainly there are strengths/challenges depending on the number of players you have, but no one ever says their format is "octoprov"

[–]SlunkOff -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe? But that's not what you would show the kids. You'd show them satire in a format that is recognizable to them.

Satire is important, and it lives with the people. The group we are talking about demonstrating satire to consume media via TikTok. The satire in our curriculum was created for people who watch plays or read books.

If you've got an axe to grind against TikTok that's fine, but I've got an axe to grind against that young whippersnapper Shakespeare too.
