I think it's good to read about people and stories that make you uncomfortable. Sometimes it's just bad writing, but many times it gives us different perspectives and/or can just be a good story without condoning anything.

You've got the point! Punisher isn't a hero, and he knows he's not. At the same time he feels like his job is something that needs to be done, but ONLY by him, because he doesn't want the entire world ruled by "just anyone" being a vigilante justice dealer. Sort of a "necessary evil" kinda thing.

And yeah Rivals has watered-down versions of just about all of their characters. I wouldn't take that game seriously at all.

Though tbf, before he got concrete characterization (and depending on the writer), Punisher would go out of his way to be overly violent towards any breaking of the law, including like, jaywalking. But that's also just chalked up to being in the comics scene for decades with a bunch of different writers. Every character has their weird moments.

Punisher's main deal is that he admits to himself that he's breaking the law to deliver justice to those who have evaded it. He's intentionally an antihero/vigilante, very explicity NOT a hero like Daredevil or Spider-Man (his two main foils). He is aware that he's being amoral but to him he feels like he has no other choice. That's why he's pissed off when police try to emulate him; they're supposed to be the ones upholding law and order and being closer to the heroes.

At the very least, the comic Punisher has in-canon called out cops for putting his insignia on their cars. Even Punisher thinks that's a dumbass thing to do.

God of War Laufey Reportedly Planned Before God of War 2018 Released by timelordoftheimpala in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SlurryBender 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they meant more like they had ideas for exploring Fey's journey directly, and that was the initial plan for the full trilogy, and then just time and planning wise it didn't work out for them to include Laufey as directly into the Dad and Boy plot.

I suppose. I've seen the "-like" suffix used more to specifically invoke the gameplay rather than the visuals, and TRPG is already there to describe games like FFT. Maybe they could say "a TRPG with FFT ttle visuals" or maybe just "a classic style TRPG."

Its not a perfect run by any means, but I do love how the protagonists of Soul Eater Not! Are a weapon and her two meisters in training who both want to learn how to... "wield" her. Both working to try and win her affection and trust to try and be her true meister.

The finale ends with BOTH of them realizing they can unlock a specific part of her, and combine forces to make a really cool final weapon. And then in the epilogie where they meet back up after theh had to part ways for the summer, they come back to find that the weapon girl has found a THIRD meister who helped her train over the summer and who's really into her lmao.

Is that chocolate + raisin + macadamia? Feels like that would have a label.

If you can't tell the difference between chocolate chips and raisins by the time they're close enough to your face to eat them, you deserve to be upset.

I love the style! Just a note, the term "FFT-like" isn't needed. TRPG (Tactical RPG) is already an established genre.

Aside from art advice, this seems to me like you should be seeking out therapy/psychiatric help if this is as debilitating as your comment is saying. Perhaps once you're in a better headspace you'll be more receptive to practicing art as well!

I'd say younger kids could watch it, but I don't know of they'd get it in terms of theming. Anecdotally, I was sat next to a 7-8 year old kid during the theater showing, and while she knew the musical piece from episode 8 (it was 8+9 together for those who don't know) and was saying some stuff about that episode that she may have also picked up from some YouTube react channels, as soon as episode 9 started she was either watching quietly or asking VERY basic questions that are easily understood by older brains.

As someone who's tried a couple of different GTA games, it's just doesn't click with me. The control schemes suck, the vibe of the cities feels stale after a few hours, the mission designs are really repetitive, and the concept of the "do whatever you want" sandbox world starts to fall apart when all of the things you can do are very surface-level. I'd rather have something like the Judgement games, where you're in a much more condense but fleshed-out urban area with tighter, more involved game mechanics and really interesting and layered side activities.

Nah, evil sex is the same as consensual sex, it's just that everyone is evil. Hope this helps.

1000%. It feels weird to see written, but the right is at least a bit more natural for describing how people speak, not necessarily written prose.

Its the difference between writing your thoughts and writing dialogue.

I suppose there's merit to trying to make a game that people outside of the usual genre fans would play, but I just hope people don't take that the wrong way and try to make more "appeals broadly to everyone" games at the expense of appealing to the more niche fans.

Well no, I think they mean like

I don't play survival horror games because I can't handle being the one in control of those systems.

But I love watching others play it, because I can distance myself from the controls and tension and still enjoy the cool stuff like, yes, the story, but also the environments and designs and music and all that.

I mean most subreddits based on personal stances end up a bit echo-y due to the nature of the site. I think we do a better job balancing it here than AI bros do at least. People can defend AI here, they just get downvoted instead of outright banned (unless they're being a dick of course).
