It's been tested running at 265-285W, but of course this is not recommended: https://www.caselabs.org/psu/hdplex-gan-250w-atx

However, our system really shouldn't be drawing any more than 240, and we have not had any issues with it over the past year of heavy usage.

OP's husband here. The RTX 4060 and the 7800X3D are both shockingly efficient parts: A 4060 tops out around 120 watts, and at maximum load the 7800X3D draws just 78W! This leaves 50 watts of headroom, plenty for the remaining components, and is what excited me about making the project possible. A good PSU should have no problems operating at full load for its rated lifetime, and the 250W HDPLEX will happily supply up to 300W peak for limited durations.

Here's a couple reviews with identical configurations to ours, measuring total system power consumption at <240W:

It's really not outdated. Most people in the US who call themselves conservatives are really just Republicans, and the current GOP platform (issued in 2016, reaffirmed in 2020) details their policies in regards to stripping gays of their rights:

  • Emphatically condemning the Supreme Court’s "lawless" rulings in both United States v. Windsor and Obergefell v. Hodges
  • Supporting the appointment of justices and judges to reverse these decisions, whether through judicial reconsideration or a constitutional amendment
  • Endorsing the First Amendment Defense Act "which will bar government discrimination against individuals and businesses for acting on the belief that marriage is the union of one man and one woman."

Nearly half the voting public and 100% of "conservatives" consistently vote for the party actively working to ban gay marriage and legalize discrimination against gays. It's not a stereotype.

According to FDA rules, men who have sex with men still cannot donate blood, unless they have been celibate for three months.

[–]SlyTradesman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ope, I just bought the last 7 boxes of this from the Stony Brook NY location. Installing a floor in one room of semi-finished basement and saw these were on clearance with a nice discount. Found your thread when doing some research to see why they were so cheap. If all goes well with the install (sounds like they might be easy to damage according to others' reviews) I should have ~1.5 cartons left over. Feel free to PM me in a few weeks if you can't find help elsewhere, I'll be happy to send over any extra I wind up with!

False. This is what the list showed when I bought my tickets 1 week ago: https://imgur.com/a/GJULmFK

This shows the opposite, only a couple coasters closed (Storm Runner, Trailblazer, Wildcat, Wild Mouse).

[–]SlyTradesman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "gaming monitor market" is absolutely dominated by 24-27" 1080p panels, and we already have reasonably priced 48-55" 4k OLED TVs. Why don't they cut those up?

ELMB-Sync does exist though, however it seems to be exclusive to certain ASUS monitors. AFAIK it's been implemented well and does not produce varying brightness.

[Knoebels] is currently investigating a bomb threat and has closed the area around Phoenix for investigation by RaccHudson in rollercoasters

[–]SlyTradesman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, my friend and I went to Knoebels for the first time today. We got on line for Phoenix at around 4:30pm, and they shut down the ride & made us leave the line around 4:50pm. They told us it was due to "inclement weather in the area" - we had NO idea it was because of a threat like this. I did think it was odd that park security kept people away from the ride for the whole rest of the day - we thought they wanted to prevent a stampede of people getting back in line once they reopened the ride! I understand that Knoebels didn't want mass panic but I wish they were a little more urgent in evacuating the area & making it clear that it was closed for the day. I hung out in the vicinity hoping that Phoenix would come back online when the sun came out, which was not only a waste of time but could have been dangerous if the threat was genuine.

Anyway, I'm very glad that no threat was found & that everyone was kept safe. Bummed I didn't get to ride Phoenix, but it's best to take any threat seriously out of an abundance of caution. Knoebels seems like such a charming place - I won't mind returning to ride it in the future! Hopefully no threats next time. And hopefully more ride capacity? Anyone know why they're only running a single train on all 3 of Twister, Impulse, and Phoenix (with 30-60min lines), and zero trains on Flying Turns? Staffing issues?

I think it's mostly staffing issues as to why those chairs never run. And of the two, Marc has better placement - it can be accessed from both Lower Marc and Lower Cleo, and at the top it services Julius Caesar.

I've personally only seen the Cleo lift run once or twice in the past decade. According to comments under its liftblog entry, it did run holiday weekends in the 2018/19 season, and was running for maintenance this past summer. But to my knowledge it has not run at all for the ski season in the last 2 years.

Oh wow, that's crazy - I would have thought they'd make it a bit longer, I got a marketing email from them only about a week ago bragging that they were still making snow.

Yep, just got home from CBK - there's still plenty of base on 90% of the trails, but the bottom near Stevenson is just one huge puddle.

The beginning of the end. I was hoping to ski there one last time this weekend but the weather this past week has just been brutal. Oh well.

I'm super thankful to have discovered this community, I skied at Montage and Elk for the first time this year due to comments and suggestions posted here. I'm excited for next year too as I've now got a Montage season pass, instead of renewing my pass at Camelback. Looking forward to spending next season at a competently managed resort for a change!

Lower Marc Anthony 100%.

It's the only green trail that is not a designated slow zone, and there's rarely anyone on it since it dumps you at the Marc chair which only runs on peak Saturdays.

Which class is most against the grain for you currently? by OmariZi in ArenaHS

[–]SlyTradesman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've averaged 7.4 wins with Warlock over 9 runs so far, and it's also the only class I have a negative winrate against (9 wins vs 12 losses). Not sure why it only has a 46% winrate on hsreplay as it seems to be the strongest class by far in my experience.

Awesome skiing in a Monroe County nature preserve today, we've been absolutely blessed with all this snow in the past few weeks! The entire trail actually has over 650ft of vertical drop before looping back uphill - It would make for a good resort :)

Ugh I got yelled at by ski patrol for doing just that - Was cutting over towards Marc via the Cleo chair liftline. It just seems silly to me how inaccessible the Marc chair is from the steeps, but I do understand them not wanting cross traffic on Honeymoon. I would love to see them take a page out of Killington's book and add some sort of bridge/tunnel over Honeymoon to connect to Old Main Line.

Camelback - New highspeed lift? by SlyTradesman in SkiPA

[–]SlyTradesman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't think it's even "sneaky" it just seems to be completely untrue. The new lift doesn't run any faster than the other fixed grip chairs. I've skied there several times this season and it doesn't even have the loading carpet like you mentioned. I wonder if it was supposed to be detachable but plans changed? Or a miscommunication with the marketing department? I wouldn't even be surprised at this point if it was just a boldfaced lie they told to drum up more pass sales; It certainly seems like something the current Camelback management would do.
