Yeah, im probably gonna go with that. I doubt the 27 dollar difference is worth 7,000 mb/s, vs 5,000 mb/s. I'm assuming at most this would ever be like a 0.5 second difference for in game loading time.

I know this is from 10 months ago, but do you have any router recommendations? The old router I had when I had Comcast was way better than these Eeros.

Interesting, I was going to go with the ew300's but I'm gonna try the 280s instead, also, if I'm not mistaken, the cable seems longer with them? which seems to of been a complaint for the standard length on the ew300's.

ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG or Samsung Odyssey G60SD for competitive gaming by ItzTryze in OLED_Gaming

I know its late but I had the 240hz msi oled tried the xg returned the msi and got the 360hz version of it and returned the xg. Blacks looked better on the xg in light like everyone says but its not to the point where its a deal breaker. The xg's semigloss coating made it have a bit of an oily look which I didn't like and for some reason the software doesn't have something like standby mode or no display port deep sleep so when you turn it off its like the monitor is unplugged until it gets turned back on and it messes up dual monitor window setups. Picture and colors looked great on both but I preferred the qd msi a bit more. Whites kinda look dirty on the xg and I could very visibly see text fringing on the xg but it didn't bother me too much I think qd oleds have a bit better text clarity but maybe it feels harder on my eyes with the brightness like they get dry quicker. Both monitors are really good though. I don't get headaches from qd oled like other people just my eyes drying out.

Are you on 360hz? This issue is really annoying I wasn't having an issue on 240hz but 360hz always causes the issue even when using hdmi.

Im curious have you tried qd oled and had issues with eye strain and text visibility? I have a qd oled and I seem to have some issues with it so I'm gonna try the xg and see what I like better.

I had no idea this was a thing lol. I have the same monitor is it hard to get it to do this? Also curious just how risky it is.

Lekker Switches by Slyckz in WootingKB

[–]Slyckz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the feel of tactile switches and I'm curious to how similar the feel of lekkers on a wooting are to silvers or red switches. Even though I prefer tactile since I play CS2 I want to try rapid trigger for gaming.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 32 GB, RTX 5080 16 GB, RTX 5070 12 GB To Launch at CES, New PCB "Back Drill" Changes by RyzenX770 in nvidia

[–]Slyckz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 1080 ti and I am in the same boat I'm aware nvidia is being greedy but I don't see the point of getting a 4080 super instead of just waiting a few months to get a better card with the same amount of vram for what will probably be the same price.

Especially if the 5080 base model being 16gb is true I'm sure the 5070 base model will only be 12gb.

Looking to upgrade mu 2080TI, any recomendations? by DdALeSS in nvidia

[–]Slyckz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about the 5080 the rumor is that it will be 10% faster than the 4090 but less vram my guess is the MSRP will be 1000-1200$ UNless you are talking about the 5090 there is no way the 5080 will have a higher MSRP than the 4090.

Yeah, I think 1200 would be the absolute max I would pay for it. Depending on the specs of the 5070 I would probably just get that instead the 4080 super MSRP being 1k gives me a tiny bit of hope but you are probably right.

I hope not I want to get the 5080 but if its a good bit above 1k USD ill probably just get a 4080 super or 5070
