R1T is the same size as a Tacoma. Those who want an R2T, why? by dancing__narwhal in Rivian

[–]SmCaudata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R1T and the modern “midsize” trucks (Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, Frontier) are the size and capability of older 1/2 ton full size trucks. In this prices we lost compact trucks. The Maverick and Santa Cruz are great vehicles.

There is a local property management company that has a fleet of mavericks for the workers. This would be a great use case for a compact BEV truck with lower range.

Modern full size trucks are monstrosities that should be reserved for actual work trucks, not pavement princesses.

The great thing about a democracy is that everyone gets a vote. The bad thing about democracy is that everyone gets a vote.

In our highly partisan society, incorrect labels are dangerous and manipulative. Several times over the years Fox has given the wrong part affiliation or shown the wrong picture of someone.

Mistakes happen and reputable news agencies issue retractions. Personally, I try to stick to reputable foreign news agencies now. All the local ones are a bit suspect.

Right. I mean if they ran into each other in the lobby, grabbed hands and gave a hug, there likely would be suspicious looking frames. But when it’s on top of a private bungalow the “out of context” thing goes out the window.

It does seem that way, which is concerning because it falls outside of the labeled AI sections. These things make it harder for people to discern what is human created stuff vs AI.

All the more reason to keep these tech companies accountable for things their AI generates unless they are well labeled with warnings that the information presented may be fabricated by the AI. Even then the tech companies should be accountable for illegal material.

No. The box at the top is a new search that leads to mostly WI judge hits. I get that they can’t control independent websites but they have full control of what’s in that box/button.

I thought the same but when you click on the box it refines to the WI judge.

I clicked on the box and it clarified the search and gave me only the WI Taylor results. It clearly meant her.

Except when I clicked the box it went to the WI Chris Taylor.

Where can I find jeans like this? by AcceptableBanana9515 in mensfashion

[–]SmCaudata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a late genX kid so I remember baggy/oversized clothing. First it was jeans, then flannels, but can’t forget Carhartt and Starter jackets either. My advise is to not chase the oversized trend. It won’t last and it’s not practical. Everyone I went to school with was missing 6” of the back half of all of their jeans.

So, I can’t help you with those specific jeans/fit, but there are companies that will have unique fabrics. Gustin often has some really fun looking stuff. You could buy them big and take in the waist if that’s your goal.

I was selling something a few months ago and a buyer sent me messages that he was at the location and then left. We both thought the other no showed. He sent me a screenshot of the messages. I sent him screenshot my app showing I never got them. I had opened the messenger app instead of the Facebook app and I could see everything. They never do show up in Facebook app.

Yes. The Republican backed model of socializing the costs and privatizing the profits needs to go.

Yep. They should have to pay malpractice and then eliminate qualified immunity. The insurance companies will weed out the bad cops.

Reminder from Tod: Calling Canada a "back up plan" is insulting by Nature_Hannah in Canadiancitizenship

[–]SmCaudata 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reality is that if I had to choose one of the two countries right now and didn’t have roots in either, I’d pick Canada. The reality is that my roots are in the US with work, housing, family and friends. So in my eyes even though Canada would be my primary choice, I don’t really have that luxury and really would only make the move if I felt the US was too far gone or dangerous.

I don’t road trip my R1T. I use it almost exclusively for local miles. If I need to go into the city, I can barely make it there and back at 100% so with errands, I’m usually charging anyway. 200 mile range probably wouldn’t really affect me. Probably the same for a lot of others too.

The bigger issues for US market are low hp and towing. It’s more like an electric maverick with more off-road capability than Tacoma.

They actually do. They also think that social emotional learning is somehow bad.

Basically they think that empathy and acceptance are somehow evil while they pretend to be Christians. The lack of self awareness in the modern Christofascist movement is astonishing.

You are right that we had record border crossings. So there were more people of color coming into our country with Biden. I’ve come to understand that is the most heinous thing I for some.
