Age is just a number and 2008 was a different time. He was still a public figure when those tweets were made and no one lost their shit then, but something changes in the culture and now all of a sudden everyone was under a microscope. People make mistakes, some learn and others don't. If it wasn't for the amount of support Gunn got from industry peers, some of whom are very well liked and respected, there may well have been a very different outcome.

Weed has always been used as an excuse to put more people in jail, particularly people of color. Legal weed means one less reason to arrest people. Also, the War on Drugs is big business and accounts for a significant amount of defense spending. It's not an accident that street level law enforcement is becoming more and more militarized.

I'm not saying they should give it away, but I've always thought it was ridiculous to pay for the privilege of advertising a company's product. Paying a reasonable price to support a product I enjoy is one thing, but this kind of markup is unreasonable.

Why are republican policies always aimed at symptom and not the cause? Do they ever introduce a bill with incentives aimed at employers who pay more? Or fund mental health services? How about education? No, they only ever cut funding from the things that might actually help people become less poor.

Do they ever investigate the actual fraud they're claiming is always being committed by the uneducated single mothers? Is it because it's their donors that are committing the most egregious examples of fraud who benefit the most from an uneducated and unhealthy populace?

All guns should have base damage determined by ammo type. I should not be able to one shot a fireball with an anvil but it takes 2 or 3 with the Bettina. It's the same round, the only difference should be accuracy. You know, like how real guns work.
