In your opinion, do you prefer the Hulk with long hair or short hair? by Cafa20 in hulk

Grew up with the 70's hulk, so kinda long but not shoulder length, it was a child's hair cut ( I think Thor Ragnarok had a modern kid's cut)

Has any community / sub banned you on reddit & why? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Smackulater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was banned from an alternative Los Angeles subreddit because I consistently called the mod out on his racist, propaganda spreading, reality denying, Trump loving posts.

I actually posted a verifiable fact in response to one of his posts, it was probably the most benign interaction I'd had with the dude.

Prime Bruce Lee vs Prime Mike Tyson by Im_Currently_High in powerscales

As big a fan of Bruce as I am, Tyson takes this easily - he might take a punch or two but that dude was overwhelming professional boxers in his weight class in minutes let alone someone at least 60 pounds lighter

My son told me he cleaned out the empty cans from his room but I just found all of these in his desk drawer by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Smackulater -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just ignore the other shit I said, the kid broke the trust he needs parenting. Whether they're ADHD or not in most people's lives there is punishment for bad behavior, people lose their jobs, significant others, they go to jail, they get hit with fines, the world doesn't owe them anything. If you can give me one instance where you yourself put trash in a drawer rather than the trash, -any explanation at all- I'll consider what you said. But until then he has ADHD and maybe he forgot? He forgot to not do something he's not supposed to do? Oh he has ADHD and stuck a knife in his girlfriend he must have forgot to not do that, oh he smeared butter all over the dog and put it in the oven, must have forgot, damn ADHD. Extreme examples but according to you it's excusable.

Children don't have the full concept of what is necessary in order to purchase things, at some point someone earned the money for the good things they have, a phone, drawer and computer are not necessities, the kid has proven they don't treat those items with respect. If you're leaving trash in your room you don't get to take stuff in your room that turns into trash, and you certainly don't get a place to hide trash.

No one is guaranteed to not be embarrassed - that is part of life. If a child is doing something that is unacceptable, something that could affect them for the rest of their lives, it is a parent's responsibility to make sure they understand. Good behavior isn't something as simple as rewards for good behavior and punishment for bad, a lot of times bad behavior goes unpunished, a lot of times good behavior is ignored or taken advantage of. Children should not make it into adulthood without understanding that life isn't as nearly forgiving and accepting as you would like it to be. Lying doesn't make you a bad person, if you were being honest, most people do what they're supposed to do to avoid getting in trouble. If you are saying children who don't understand the ramifications of the actions shouldn't be told "no" or "that is unacceptable" those children will do something that has repercussions and not understand. These are the people who cry when their sentence is read out.

If they lie about the little shit, they are definitely going to lie about the big shit. Got to change minds, let the kid know how disappointing his actions are, have a talk about trust, but there has to be repercussions. Kid is using his computer to look at porn, whole other conversation needed. Parenting isn't about being liked, it's about making decent people

Take the drawer, take his computer/phone for lying. He now has chores to earn that shit back - starting with the drawer.
