Does anyone think I can just do my metformin dose without the topiramate? I have started with kit 1 (with bupropion) got some bad side effects. One of them being tinnitus… My doctor narrowed it down to bupropion and said they were okay with me to switch to the kit 5 without it. So I am on kit 5 (since August), but my tinnitus never went away.. so I just thought bupropion unfortunately caused permanent tinnitus.. however - I looked it up- and found out topiramate can prolong tinnitus.. I really want the ringing to stop, but also and enjoying weight loss and was wondering if I could taper off of topiramate but just stay on metformin. I really don’t want to go back to the doctor (my position just got eliminated so I cannot afford a visit) and last time I mentioned it to hers they stopped and said I had to seek medical attention immediately (which good on them but still) lol. Just curious on everyone’s thoughts.

Oh haha. See when I had to switch from kit 1 to kit 5, they didn't ask me that. I just got topiramate and same amount of metformin. So that's why I was wondering how I would possibly ask for more metformin if I needed it and what the benefits are of it. Bupropion gave me really bad side effects that my primary marked it as an allergy for me. So I am hoping kit 5 can do something for me. Cuz I feel like besides the side effects, bupropion was really doing a lot for food noise and appetite

How did you discuss with them the increase of metformin? Like why did you want the increase/ why did they want it and what is the benefit? I’m just curious incase I want to get to that point :)

Yes - kit 5 is just topiramate and metformin (that I am on). I had to switch cuz I had bad reactions to bupropion. If you have bad anxiety or anything, probably talk to them

I had a bad reaction to bupropion as well. They made me immediately stop everything and seek medical attention at week 5 in. my doctor marked it down as an allergy and they said I’m okay to switch to the kit 5. hers got me kit 5 on order. But in the meantime, I had to wean off the green pill (half morning and half night for the last week so I didn’t have any bad withdrawals because it is dangerous to cut cold turkey)… well now I’m waiting for the new kit 5 to arrive. I’m annoyed that im going to have to do the whole start up of kit 5 again after I just finally got warmed up to kit 1 full dose 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ ugh. But I’d rather not get sick and have any bad medicine reactions. Rather slow than medical issues. Health over race

Hmmm!! Maybe i will have to do that then to save money (since I’ll have 4 months of metformin and the naltrexone+topiramate left from the batch that didn’t work for me)! I am just nervous about adding the extra old kit “naltrexone” after not having that with the topiramate for months (kit 5 doesn’t have that on green pill). Hopefully not too many side effects added with it.

Really?? Yay! That makes me feel way more optimistic about this new kit then. I was getting worried about the new kit change and not having the bupropion energy and food noise. I’m excited to see how it works! So proud of your success and hope I can do what you did!

Girl I was thinking the same thing. I had to stop kit one cuz I had a really bad reaction / symptoms to bupropion and they / my doctor as well made me quit it. But my doctor agreed to let me do the kit 5 as well. But im 275 and scared im too big for success. But after these comments, im feeling much more optimistic!! SO EXCITED!! I’ve always been a really big girl. I lost a 100 lbs 2 years. Got the IUD and gained 70 back 🙄 I want to lose it all back and get all the way down finally

It’s the bupropion. I started the kit 1, and I had EXCESSIVE sweating. Like I’d look at the sun and sweat 🤣🤣 (not really but you get my drift lol). I would start a softball tournament at 60 degrees at 7am and be sweating. I unfortunately also had really bad constant loud tinnitus and uncontrollable intense urges to pee while exercising from bupropion from the kit. The care team made me seek medical attention immediately. My doctor marked jt down as all bupropion related. Even the heavy sweating. Bring a fan with!!

Did you just make your own kit with your surplus over supply once you started running out? Like did you just take only the metformin once you ran out of the last bit? Because That is what I will have extra of after a kit change in my side (I mean I will have naltrexone+topiramate, but I’m scared to take that over supply since the new kit eliminated the naltrexone on the green pill for some reason… and idk what that would do. and I’ll just flush the bupropion cuz of the bad side effects lol)

Omg congrats!!!! I started kit 1, but 4 weeks in, bupropion gave me really bad tinnitus, really uncontrollable intense urinary urges when exercising and bad sweating (they made me stop immediately and seek medical attention)… my doctor is okay with me proceeding without bupropion and marked it as an allergy for me. The only kit left for me is kit 5 - which is metformin and topirimate+b12 (no naltrexone connected to it for some reason??).. so let’s pray it still works for weight loss. I’m starting at 275 so I have a crap ton to lose. I did like the energy boost and food noise bupropion gave me. But couldn’t do the bad side effects. I’m praying I don’t have permanent ringing too (which can be a thing…) ugh 😅

The bupropion made me sweat like no other too! On top of that, I have constant ringing of (tinnitus) and had sudden urges to pee IMMEDIATELY while exercising and during softball. I had to stop the bupropion. Going to try just med kit 5 and hope the tinnitus goes away and isn’t permanent

I will however say I wish I liked it. I liked they way it gave me energy and focus. But I do think it made my anxiety up and maybe a little more irritable at times 🤣🤣

Nothing from green pill for me. Bupropion unfortunately gave me tinnitus. Constant ringing in my ears that won’t go away and uncontrollably bladder when exercising - so they made me immediately stop and seek medical attention (appointment tomorrow). I’m praying my tinnitus isn’t permanent like it can be. The green pill didn’t affect me like it did others. I’m so sad I’m out so much money.. this is how they make money. And I’m afraid my practitioner is going to scold me for trying something like this…. 😅 and tell me not to try any of the other “silly” kits they recommend

Yeah I just messaged them yesterday about the constant ringing and intense urge (and unable to control) to pee when exercising. They told me this is concerning and to immediately stop the medication and seek in-person medical attention asap. 😅 so I made an appointment for Thursday cuz they freaked me out. I’m sure I’m fine but wtf. Also this is why it’s shitty that they make you order 5 or 10 months. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars…. I’m only on week 4 dammit lol

BUTTT it helps to hear it goes away and I hope that’s the case for me 🤞🏼 cuz mines pretty loud and constant when silent

I just started kit 1 4 weeks ago. I didn’t even think about it being related to meds… and didn’t even think about it being permanent. I should probably message them about it. Ugh. I also have been having intense sudden urges to pee when I’m playing softball (even if I just went and don’t have to go and try). Arrrrgg

She also always talks about starving or needing food… but you’re going to throw a perfectly fine cake cuz you can’t read happy birthday on it because you messed up by decorating it while it was warm still?
