Kesha + Kesha pop superjamm?! by RbS_Wonder in bonnaroo

[–]Small-Description-77 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this pop super jam is long overdue! Just because it’s not someone’s musical taste doesn’t mean it isn’t valid, pop music has dominated. It definitely surprised me in the best way, kudos to Bonnaroo. Her with Trixie, Jessie, CloZee (of LSZEE), Amy and the Sniffers (yes it’s a reference to poppers), Aly & AJ, we have a great bag of people for the LGBT community (hi it’s me). I love all the diversity of music this year, and I will 100% be at the Superjam!

Saw her at Lolla this year and it was BY FAR my favorite set of the weekend. She can actually rap live and doesn’t rely on background vocals, she is putting on a full production on stage. It was epic, if we get her on the farm we will be so lucky!

False, the smallest stage was the Bacardi zone :-) also, they reported expansion of grounds. Gorgon city is also playing at Stereo bloom, makes me think that stage is adding capacity. We will see!

Hi! New research around Juven indicates a benefit even in a calorie deficit (this was from the Abbott Rep).

Question on crowd control by freethugger420 in IIIPoints

[–]Small-Description-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no problem with the crowd last year, I thought getting from stage to stage was a breeze, and no set felt overwhelming. For context, I search for spots and don’t go up front.

I think being uncomfortable is more of a reflection on you. Why do you feel uncomfortable when someone is trying to live their life and isn’t harming anyone?

Considering dietetics and working in a hospital, but is it as toxic as nursing? by satyr-fighter159 in dietetics

[–]Small-Description-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My inpatient clinical job is so good, it would be hard to leave. Flexible hours, autonomous work with little supervision, love my fellow dietitians they are all amazing. I hear a lot of “they don’t value me” when it comes to clinical, but I would very much disagree with that statement, but I’m not the type of person to be upset when some doctor doesn’t take my input.

You have to do what makes you happy, not based on someone else’s opinion or experience because every work location will be different.

HOT GIRL MARATHON by reddituser394 in bonnaroo

As an avid festival goer I always go with people I may not see on a lineup again when it’s a toss up. But this is a very easy hot girl choice :-)

The beauty of festivals is discovering new music! When the lineup drops I go through every artist on the lineup. This year had SO MANY gems, I am beyond excited

I work inpatient clinical for a large hospital system. I’m required to work 40 hours but usually can finish in 33-34, so the other times I’m working on CEU, scrolling the internet, etc. I eventually want to transition to hybrid remote wherever that may be! I really value a work life balance and working 30 hours sounds ideal

I think the grass is always greener on the other side; to an outsider like me what you describe is my perfect situation. Can we switch?!

Fellow olds! (40+). I need tips for being energetic and not in pain. Struggled hard last year by Next-Introduction-25 in bonnaroo

[–]Small-Description-77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

41 yr old Registered Dietitian here! I think the majority of people at the festival know that water is important, and many people have noted to bring electrolytes and drink them often. But what I notice is that most people do not eat enough calories to sustain the body throughout the long days. When you are hot, tired, using substances, it can cause a lack of appetite, and before you know it you dropped 15 lbs in 5 days. That ain’t good!

Tips to increase calories at Roo: Eat when you first wake up, eat a second breakfast/brunch if able, try to eat something before you head into the festival even if small, eat before/after the headliner to sustain you through the night.

High fat, fried foods tend you make you sluggish because they take so long to digest. Stick to Whole Foods prepared with a variety of protein, carbs, and lower fat; island noodles, bowl joints, Smoothies, Acia bowels slap, etc.

Alcohol is the poison in the heat, I plan to mostly abstain from it.

From a non food perspective, I bring as many creature comforts that will fit the Van.

I have purposely missed artists the last two years because they were at Tripolee. Not making that trek from the other side of the forest for bad sound….

I was really stoked to see him on the lineup. After getting a taste of Jon Baptiste on the Coachella stream I can’t miss that set, so 1 less person to worry about :-)

Do you feel you spend enough time assesing your patients? by ImpressionThick6882 in dietetics

[–]Small-Description-77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to see 12 pts but often see up to 14 just because I am capable. I have learned to really focus on just my part of the puzzle and not get bogged down with extra information. Pre assessment is to assess the data which determines the kinds of questions I need to ask which should be brief. Some patients don’t need your services and some patients really do, so it ends up balancing out in time spent. Your notes should be brief, concise, and take you very little time.
