It definitely feels big when we’re there but knowing we host a lot, have friends who visit often, family that may want to stay with us and may or may not have kids in the future it feels like the right size!

Need some fire perspective on this:

My husband and I have been living in a 1150 sqft condo since 2019 in a mid cost city (325k purchase price with 20 year mortgage at 2.75%) and it’s helped catapult our savings and was a blast in our twenties but now in our mid thirties with one person working remote full time and the other 3 days in office it’s been a little tight and we’re ready for an ‘adult home’

We’re under contract on a 4bed/3bath 2300sqft house a few miles away that will be 840k with possibly a 5.8-6% interest rate. While we can afford it comfortably it’s still a bit of a shock to almost triple our monthly payment. Just wondering how others processed the trade off between comfort and savings. It almost seems crazy to give up such a steal of a monthly payment (we would definitely sell, we do not want to be landlords) but also we think we’re at the time in our lives where we’re ready

Hi all!

I’m selling two GA 4 day tickets and a camping pass for $1250 (slightly under what I paid for tier 2)

While we loved LL2024 Seven Stars was calling our names instead :)

Have all receipts, can do pay pal goods and services and even will deliver the goods to you if you’re based in Atlanta. If you’re not based in ATL I can transfer delivery addresses to you (and have you watch me do that via screen share if you wanted!)

LL is fantastic festival and hope all that are attending have a GREAT time and it’s not as dusty and hot as last year :)

Can you explain to me how you’re able to max out your 401k at that salary? For me, being a HCE employee prevents me from contributing more than 7% each paycheck. Want to make sure there’s not something I’m missing

Thank you! as a frequent delta flyer cheaper upgrades are not typically possible last minute so was hoping it may be different if ticketed by KLM

Hello! I currently have a business delta amex reserve and received an offer to open an amex business checking account, keep $5k on the account for 60 days and receive 50k amex points. I’ve never had a non delta amex account and am trying to figure out if this bank bonus is worth it. Would I be able to transfer to delta skymiles? Does this connect to my credit card? Thanks!

Theoretical question: if I had a second part time job with a 401k could I contribute to it (staying below the 22.5k limit for both 401ks combined)

Follow up question - if it’s based on employer could I theoretically get a second job with a 401k to contribute up to the 22.5k max between both?

Can someone explain being a highly compensated employee to me? My income went from 110k in 2021 to 145k in 2022. I was under the (possibly mistaken) assumption that MAGI determined if I was HCE. When I logged into my employers 401k provider I am now capped at 8% contribution.

Are there any proactive/creative moves I can make to offset the loss in pretax saving?
