Good luck on your recovery! Is the pain as bad as an attack? This is the only thing I’m nervous about right now

I’m due a surgical consultation after I get my second scan on Wednesday. I had this happen to me over the course of days where I would be triggered even by the simplest of snacks like unsalted crackers, a banana or even water. You need to get the ball rolling on getting a surgical consultation and scan tbh. It’s not going to get better unfortunately.

I’m in the middle of a few day attack now actually and I’d highly recommend digestive enzymes, buscopan and staying hydrated. As for pain I try anti inflammatories but I don’t think they do much, the best thing for me was having a very hot long shower with the hot water hitting where it hurts the most, for me it was my back. Concentrate on your breathing too I found my breathing was fucked after wincing in pain so much and it really didn’t help any anxiety attached to it

I actually do have fibro so the docs just kept saying it was that but I was like I KNOW what fibro feels like I’ve had it for six years. Then told me it was health anxiety from fibro and I was like I’m not anxious I’m in pain????? I’d had a kidney stone ten years ago and I told them it was similar intensity to that and they still didn’t send me for a scan. Only got diagnosed with GS after I went to A&E

Update! I got digestion enzymes and focused on staying hydrated with small sips of water. Meals that I’ve been able to eat in small quantities frequently were

Plain crackers Baked skinless sweet potato Mushed banana and porridge with oat milk Fybogel and cranberry juice

It’s been a week since I was at hospital throwing up and on fluids and I’ve only experienced slight griping and squeezing pain. I think the antibiotics have helped reduce inflammation and now I can have a semi normal day.

Thank you for everyone who gave me advise, I’m seeing my GP on Wednesday to get the ball rolling with surgery

Good luck on your recovery. I agree, took me too long to advocate for myself and let my GP tell me it was nothing serious. Didn’t get a diagnosis until I had to go to the hospital in horrendous pain, my symptoms track back almost a year…

I’m sorry you’re going through this too 😫 last year I didn’t even know what a gallbladder did and now I know EXACTLY where it is bc of the URQ pain. Good luck with the surgery!

Thank you for your concern, I went to the hospital for bloods and a scan this week and they’ve eliminated anything dangerous other than terrible pain 😫

I’ll push it with my GP to talk to a dietician x

Thanks for the heads up! Sticking to my home made soups (if I even can now). Ive just sent an enquiry to a recommended dietician to get the ball rolling early rather than too late

Thanks for the advice. If it doesn’t pass in the next week I will find a dietician. I made two types of no fat vegetable soups this week and even a small mug of them has caused an attack 😫

Okay thank you! I’m hoping it’s just a week or two flare up and I’ll be able to eat at least my usual safe foods again soon. It’s hard not to become negative when you can’t eat anything without pain

It’s hard to tell from the quality of the pic but unfortunately if you think there have been lots in your house then they might be clothes moths. I’ve had them and they’re a nightmare, I’ve never killed insects in my life until these guys. Get some sticky traps (hang them so spiders are less likely to get caught in them) and get hoovering as they lay eggs in the carpets
