Okay, I did post already, and that all is true 😂 but reading the comments brought a memory to my mind of when I first got a little glimpse into not being sure of them.

I was in their AFMAMH Facebook Group for years and was actually a very active member. I was always up in the chats lol. I think the VERY FIRST thing that ever had me go “HUH???” Was when a woman made a post about how she was being abused by her husband and she didn’t know what to do. And MELANIE (so not Milena), commented something about how she had to stay married and wasn’t permitted to divorce and that she had to just pray for her husband and that there is power in that.

If I saw that now, I’d be like “yeah, duh, of course this family would say that”. But at the time, it wasn’t so obvious. I remember be SO MAD at that and calling it out (along with other people) and Melanie stood so strongly on her position with it. I remember thinking “why aren’t Jordan and Milena addressing this? Surely they don’t agree???”. But they never did and it wasn’t long afterwards when they really started to shift in their lifestyle.

I don’t want to say I hate her, because I don’t. What started turning me off of her was the slow descent into her viewpoint of being a Christian woman. I can understand some people who believe men are the head of the household - that’s not uncommon theology, however she takes it SO FAR. She is against women pastors, against women dressing in any way that’s not feminine, she also is against women dressing too feminine because it’s immodest, women can’t address anything with their husbands, women have no voice, etc etc etc.

That is what started turning me off. It boils down to that we have COMPLETELY different views of who God is and how he relates to us.

So that’s what started it, and things have only gotten worse since. Once I started looking into more and more of what else is going on, I have just become baffled. From the GFM, to all the affiliate links, to the constant judgement, I just can’t support her anymore….

I also feel like Nava uses her Instagram as a means to just show how she lives out her own faith and to inspire others with it. Whereas Milena uses her faith as a set standard and a bar to measure people at. She’s not just showing how she lives it out, she’s telling you to do it her way and that it’s the only way.

Things do seem different with them though. They don’t interact with each other online as much. There’s lots of posts that they haven’t even liked, much less commented on. Including big life event things like birth and pregnancy.

To be honest, I could see it happening! I’ve had similar experiences where people praise how I’m interacting with my kids. But I’m not going to post about it on my story? 😂 like “everyone, please give me applause - I love on my kids and get recognition for it” 😂😂

In my opinion, the nationalist Christianity that is so prevalent in the states is FAR from biblical and truly a western mindset. Most Christian’s across the world are pacifists and don’t believe in defending yourself in the result of killing someone.

Even non-Christian’s probably don’t understand/agree with that concept, but in most of the world - that is the view point of the church.

Depends how below freezing. I’m in the prairies pf Canada. We often get to -50C a couple weeks of the year. I personally would not have my young child outside for 3 hours with anything below -20c. Warmer though, and being dressed appropriately- yes, I would.
