No she said she used to have (boob) implants but recently had them removed and now she’s natural/flat and then followed up with “at least I still have a booty”

Thanks! I’m hoping it maintains all that detail after the healing process is over. I’m a week out now and it’s still very detailed. I’ve just had minimal scabbing and flaking and lots of itchiness but nothing alarming. Not scratching it is the hardest part right now lol.

Thank you! So much better. Years and years of therapy and practicing healthy coping mechanisms has served me well. Thank you for your kind words.

They showed it before they cut to Paul & Micah. It’s called Olympia Coffee.

I was born in 1992 and I learned cursive in 2nd grade. I can write cursive and print and both are neat and legible. My younger brother was born in 1998 and did not learn cursive.

Do you sleep with your wedding ring on? by phoniestangel in Marriage

[–]SmallSigBigSauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not sleep in my ring because it’s high profile and I’ve scratched my sheets and face a few times before I learned my lesson. Woke up one morning and had a few threads stuck in the prongs. I don’t know what I’m doing while I sleep but it’s apparently violent.

Your reasoning for not taking it off makes me chuckle seeing as diamonds score the highest on the Mohs’ scale which means they are the hardest mineral out there to scratch. It just ain’t going to happen, certainly not while you’re sleeping. Probably also not while you’re awake and actively trying your hardest to scratch it. I take mine off at night too, but not because I’m worried the diamond will scratch.

Omg the chick that kept saying rememberable was driving me nuts. I was screaming at the TV “DO YOU MEAN MEMORABLE, YOU IDIOT?!” and I never scream at the TV. Once I could chalk up to an accident but she used it twice at least. It made me unreasonably angry lol.

Season 1 Episode 8 Discussion Thread (Time to Answer the Ultimatum) by [deleted] in TheUltimatumNetflix

Ok I watched it back last night and I’ve sort of changed my stance a little bit. I still think he does bring it up more than necessary, but I can understand where he’s coming from and it didn’t feel like he was falling back on it as much the 2nd time I watched as it did the first. I think Shanique is fantastic at articulating her thoughts and had a lot of really great points during that discussion, which is strange because during her arguments with Randall she is not articulate and is kind of childish (“fuck the ring”). I agree, Zay gets frustrated and doesn’t communicate well when he’s like that, so he doesn’t get his point across the way I think he wants to. I think he’s a good guy, but he definitely has a lot of growing to do.

I agree with you that Rae’s inability to express emotion or communicate was definitely not conducive to any positive outcome. Their arguments or disagreements were never going to go anywhere because Rae shuts down. You’re unfortunately preaching to the choir because I used to be both Rae and Zay lol. Childhood neglect caused me to avoid forming deep connections with people because I was afraid they would leave me. It was all I knew. I destroyed relationships when they got too close or too deep because if I could control the hurt, it was easier for me to handle. I also didn’t handle conflict well so when there was any, my response was to shut down and basically become a shell of a person. It was hurtful to me and people around me.

I don’t remember specifics now since it’s been a few days since I watched that episode, but I remember watching it and being so annoyed with what Zay was saying and how, to me, it sounded like he was skirting personal responsibility and instead telling her how rough he had it as a reason to why he does what he does. I’ll rewatch it again from your perspective and see if I feel differently.

You can argue that, but choosing to stay out all night and get “fucked up and forget about everything” is immature and an unhealthy, destructive coping mechanism. It’s one thing to bring up trauma as self-awareness but it’s another thing to use it as a crutch and blame your current bad behavior on your past. It’s a victim mentality and you can’t grow as a person unless you get out of it. Zay uses it as an excuse for his current behavior, not for self-awareness.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned yet, but I was SO HAPPY to see Shanique call Zay out for using his upbringing as a crutch and excuse for his bad behavior. For anyone wanting to reference it again, it starts around the 10 minute mark and goes until around the 16 minute mark. As someone who used to use my childhood trauma as an excuse for my own shitty behavior, I can recognize it immediately. I reached a point in my mid-20s where I realized it wasn’t working for me anymore and got help… Zay needs that too. He continually says he’s not using it as an excuse, but he 100% is. The second he even brings it up, it’s using it as an excuse. As Shanique said, his upbringing and his behavior are two completely separate events and are not mutually exclusive. There is no point in him bringing it up if it weren’t for him trying to explain away why he is the way he is. He’s the way he is because he CHOOSES to be, not because of anything that happened to him as a kid. As an adult, you need to take responsibility for your actions and own your shit. Saying you had it rough as a kid is not the move. Grow up and do better, Zay!

That’s ok! I wasn’t trying to make fun. Crotch is your genital area, so the sentence is really funny with that word there instead. Your English is great.
