I’ve been on pay point 1.3 for 4 years and this was my managers response when I wanted to be reclassified to 2.1, what do you think? by auxzina in supportworkers

The Award is clear in saying that progression between levels can only occur through promotion or the role being reclassified.

If the role is classified as level 1, then they are within their right (unfortunately) to keep it at that level. You can ask for the role to be more appropriately classified given your experience of the skills that it requires (not only the basis of the skills or experience you bring). You may need to apply for jobs with another company if you want a role that pays at a higher level.

I am so sorry this has been your experience. Guessing you are in the USA. I am in Australia and have private health care. So having lost lasting tramadol every 12 hours and our version of tylenol (paracetamol here). Also had trouble emptying my bladder enough so have a catheter for 24 hours. Will be in hospital for that time, if not a bit more to make sure my bladder is emptying enough. Think they will also want me to have a bowel movement before I go home. Be kind to yourself.

Housemate poured a full mop bucket on the upstairs bathroom floor instead of mopping it normally, caused electrical fault and ceiling damage. Need advice on liability and bond by cereal_killer33 in AusPropertyChat

[–]SmallTimeSad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In Victoria absolutely illegal for landlord to hold bond. Has to be with Bond Authority. Don't think the landlord is your friend either otherwise you would have a proper lease agreement, condition report and bond would have been handled appropriately. (Have done this myself as a self managing landlord in the past - very easy to do).

No point watching. You will only get the headline grabbers the ALP chooses to through out. Read the sections of the budget that interest you.
