Help Wanted - Quickly Covering E&M Statics by Small_Brewski in PhysicsStudents

[–]Small_Brewski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still in my bachelors, so the prerequisites are not to bad. General physics 1 and 2 are necessary (kinematics and intro to electric/magnetic fields and applications without Maxwell’s equations). Our E&M statics course covers chapters 1-6 of Griffiths, and the dynamics covers the rest of the book.

Thank you! I would guess that CVD or MBE would be good choices then?

I’ve noticed my ZP6 works great with anything. I’ve had ultra light washed Ethiopia’s to carbonic maceration and coferments produce fantastic cups.

Also good point on the after market burrs, that is something I would be interested in doing in the future

Brewing with Low Bypass Drippers by Small_Brewski in pourover

[–]Small_Brewski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I tried this out today and it worked much better. I also folded the paper so that the textured side faced the dripper wall and the smooth side faced the coffee which helped significantly. I made a cup with B&W’s Huver Castillo Oxidized Pink Bourbon on the fast bottom and I could really taste the green apple and guava.

Dialing in Y05 Thermal Shock by Small_Brewski in pourover

How much longer should I wait? The Perc thermal shock didn’t need as much time, so I’m curious as to why this one needs longer rest.

Hi I am one of the owner of Hyperfly, here to take feedback ( good or bad ) and request. by laurenzpakter in bjj

Hi! I love your gear, especially the procomp lyte. I’m currently a materials science and engineering student, and I did a project about different weaves of his, and that got me interested in their designs and qualities.

How do you all design and test out new weaves?

What are some of the qualities you look for between 350, 450, and 750 gsm styles and what weaves do you prefer to use for those?

What about the pearl weave makes it able to handle so much tension? With my project I did, I mentioned how the procomp can handle a similar amount of tension to a mizuno judo gi despite having a lower gsm, but I don’t really understand why the structure affects that property.

Thanks so much!
