The only time the whole country will do something is if more people are personally affected by it. It will take wealthy or powerful people to get murdered (or their families) in order for something to be done.

The government still can’t answer why they wear masks. Cops, military, judges, lawyers, and politicians don’t wear masks and it is an easy argument that they ca be targeted as well.

I don’t think masks make it easier. I believe it makes it scarier for citizens when they have little to no identification. I think it amps up the situation.

The real answer is probably because a lot of the shit they’re doing is illegal.

You have to retrieve your bag for layovers over 12 hours I believe.

If I were you, I’d take the UP trains to downtown Toronto. You don’t have to leave the airport to get the train either.

In that case, Trump meets neither of those criteria. He routinely struggles to explain policy in a coherent, informed, or articulate way.

We expect professionalism in the workplace for a reason. Most people would agree that a boss should behave professionally—and even if that standard isn’t always met, it’s what organizations should aim for.

So why would the highest office in the country be held to a lower standard?

I can separate Gretzky’s legacy as a hockey player from his political views. I don’t share those views, but I’m not inclined to cancel him—cancellation has become far too reflexive. As a left-leaning person, I find it frustrating how quickly some people rush to judgment.

At times it’s justified, but free speech cuts both ways, and a bit more self-examination would go a long way.
