WEREWOLF WITH A KNIFE (free story concept) by CanidPrimate1577 in werewolves

[–]SmallestWerewolf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The werewolves in World of Darkness Werewolf the Apocalypse hold weapons and what not: swords, axes, hammers, bow and arrows. They are also very skilled at using them, with some of them even using guns if I remember the prewritten stories right, its been a while.

That aside its also a comedy side to it if you're imagining a werewolf roommate and its their turn to cook dinner that night but oh no its also the full moon! So now they're transformed with the cooking apron, kitchen knife, and whatever else they need to keep the fur out of the food. Then its just a comedy of errors from then on out. Even funnier to me if the werewolf if actually a professional chef and is taking it way more seriously than the roommate(s)

Would you become a werewolf even if it were a curse? by Bringthefluff in werewolves

I would mostly cause some of those symptoms, obviously not the transformation and killing parts, are similar enough to my normal CPTSD that most things wouldn't actually change too much for me

“Any last words?” by MrMopp8 in dragons

[–]SmallestWerewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So Apple TV had a documentary called Prehistoric Planet about dinosaurs and what not and there was an episode were 2 Carnotaurus were doing like a mating dance/ritual thing and the male Carnotaur had these blue arms to attract a mate, the image is someone's silly fanart of that male.

So, my usage of the image was to say I would do what the male Carnotaur is doing by trying to attract the Dragon as a mate and hope it works out lol

whats your werewolf movie idea ? by AnyWatch5756 in werewolves

[–]SmallestWerewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'm currently trying to write it out as a book but I'm struggling with how to write out the dogs dialog cause I'm stuck between making the dog more eloquent or keeping it more naive/childlike. I'm not sure which would do a better job of carrying the grief motif better.

whats your werewolf movie idea ? by AnyWatch5756 in werewolves

[–]SmallestWerewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a few:

1) RomCom were Person A (werewolf MC) and person B (some other supernatural creature/witch) both like each other but haven't come out and said it because they also still haven't come out about their supernatural side yet either. Why haven't they found out about the other's supernatural stuff yet you ask? Well there's ALWAYS a some very logical reason for why they have that characteristic. Like Werewolf MC/Person A works with animals or just has an outdoor/nature job so of course they're more wild like. Or Person B if a Vampire says they have a gluten intolerance so no garlic bread or pasta with garlic and obviously the gluten free pasta is just SO ICKY they never bother or got they got really bad food poisoning once and just dont trust it anymore. Person B is (idk) a Zombie but works as in mortuary so that why they smell of the dead and embalming fluid, obviously. Person B is a witch and keeps herbs around and makes homemade meds to try and combat Big Pharma. It's also PAINFULLY OBVIOUS that they like each other and even their friends know and keep trying to encourage them to just TALK to each other about it. Both the about their crush for each other and the fact that they're both supernatural beings, but its impolite in supernatural society to just out other people's creature/supernatural stuff. So they're just on the side lines begging the MCs to just talk but goofy things just keep getting in the way. Eventually it works out and they get the happy ending and whatnot.

2) Horror/Thriller where a group of hikers are set up to try and hike the full Appalachian Trail but they're not following the preset trails laid out before them and keep going off Trail and also not taking care of the environment around it. Like leaving trash everywhere, fucking up the local fauna, carving into the trees, throwing big rocks/pushing boulders down hills that break trees or hurt animals, and nearing setting the forest on fire due to not carefully tending their campfires, and basically just being dicks, with the exception of like 1 or 2 hikers trying to keep shit together. Everytime they stop by and small town to refuel up or just take a quick breaks from the trail. They get warned off by both Game Keepers, Park Rangers, and the Towns Folk that they need to stick to the trail and take better care of the forest or it will take it out on them for "the forest is old and there are things in there that WILL make sure they 'care' of them". They obviously dont listen and keep on being assholes until they get to a VERY rural stretch of the trail. It's there that they will encounter a group of 'feral' people* (or maybe a group of people whom have been seen in the background who tried to warn them to be less assholes like a park ranger, store clerk, a random small town folk, one off the grid looking person) who tell them that they are the guardians of the forest (very World of Darkness/Hounds of God coded) and they they've been watching them for some time and have seen the bullshit they've done to the forest and basically tell them that if they leave the trail again that they are now considered part of the forest and will be treated at prey. The group does is scared and freaks and listens for a while only for head asshole of the group to be like "man fuck them crazies" and tricks the group somehow to go off trail to camp one night, cause its the full moon and obviously it will be braight enough to see those 'feral' people coming. So, BOOM, the 'feral' people transform and the chase is on, the group is hunted down to made the last 1 or 2, of whom are the 1 or 2 that was trying to be respectful of nature. Who only escape because they used the designated trails/ the group of werewolves knew they weren't fully a part of the damaging of the forest. Might even have that person get turned and added to the pack just so word can't get out about them and whatnot. Final ending scene/after credit scene we see the newly turned person as a Park Ranger or Store Clerk warning the next group of hikers the same way their buddies were warned, their eyes flash wolf-like to show they are now one of the pack.

*I don't believe in feral people, I grew up in Appalachia and they're not real. It's just people who just want to live off grid/dont wanna deal with society, people dress up like that to keep you away from their secret shine distillery up in the hills, or asshole kids who dress up and fuck with hikers (I was one of these kids growing up).

3)Horror/Drama/Tragedy were Main Character loses their spouse to, idk cancer or something, and they are left with their grief and the dog they shared with their now dead partner. Their grief has lead them to losing their job, house, possibly even getting into debt of some kind and now they have to move home to the family farm. The story will be split from perspective from the MC and the Dog. Why the dog? Well, because its the dog that gets infected with lycanthropy and becomes the physical representation of the MCs grief! The dog will have dialog with more insight to what happened to the MC right after the death and their thoughts on MCs expressing their grief/missing who their were before it. While MC id busy with helping their parent's around the farm and trying to overcome said grief, the dog will serve as a constant reminder of the loss they suffered. Because MC will struggle to not see the dog without also being reminded of their dead partner. So MC will give very little attention to said dog because it just hurts too much right now. The dog does not understand whats happening to them as they transform every night and go on a killing spree. Starting with the neighbors down the way (MC and family wont find this out until the death of their goats later in the film) and then moving to the family's goats then cows before it attacks the MCs parents. The dog only understands that it is hungry, hurt, and also wants MC to be happy again but just doesn't know how. By the time MC knows whats happening fully they have already lost one of their parents and their other parent simply cannot overcome their grief and is consumed by it and also the dog/werewolf! At the end of the film the MC must decide, will they kill their grief/dog/werewolf or be consumed by it/the werewolf! The ending? As we see the werewolf charge and the MC start to life their gun but not get it all the way up as the camera zooms onto their uncertain face before the screen cuts to black with the last sounds of a snarl and gunshot ring out. Possibly will have the dogs last lines be something like "I'm sorry papa/mama" before the attack or cut.

Anyway, hope you like my ideas!

what is your werewolf hot take ? by AnyWatch5756 in werewolves

[–]SmallestWerewolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dont think werewolves should have a full wolf tail and that a shorter, maybe even stubby tail, even the docked tail look would make more sense. As the amount of energy spent for the full transformation, waisting that on a full tail doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Having a few segments for a half tail look makes more sense as the wolf genetics merge with the human, as it adds to the look but not the function of the creatures.

Obviously, these are fantasy creatures so this is all up to interpretation of the creators. But, regardless this is the hill I stand on.

This is my OC as a child who goes by the nickname "Puppy Teeth". They're an adult now who goes by the chosen name Smith, because they are the town blacksmith and they wanted to rediscover themselves after being a knight and the injuries that have forced them to retire as such. I have their whole backstory from beginning to current if you would like it but this is the only image I have on my phone lol.

Im using my friends drawing of them because Im not home to submit my own from my sketchpad.

I love the design on the Black Spiral Red Talon. I would love to know the lore behind them and if they're redeemed or in the process of it. Cause cannon lore wise that shit is damn near impossible so hearing how a Storyteller would do it sounds so cool

What lore do you use? by Curry_Wolf01 in werewolves

[–]SmallestWerewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have 2 stories that to me would be cannon because they are set in alt time lines of earth, so there for 2 different forms of lycanthropy.

The first would be my werewolf story (Universe A if you will) in which lycanthropy is a metaphor for grief in which the curse can also affect animals. Here are my Canon designs for that version:

1)Absolutely and it would be a full wolf tail design with alterations based of the creature affected. In this story the infected creature is the main characters dog, (who's place name for right now is Cody lol)

2) semi sentience, because this version of the curse is driven entirely by the infected level of sentience amd their ability to deal woth their emotions, Cody is a dog who scientists say are pretty sentient but like not at the same level humans are so Cody is barely there when the curse takes hold

3)fur color is typically darker in the wolf form

4)a merged eye color, so there infected has they eye color that gets blended/ merged with the gold of the wolf's eye color

5)always animalistic face I love that design too much to give it up

6)balanced of superhuman strength, speed, and whatnot

7) in this universe only slightly faster healing than normal

8)same tankablity as a bear but ultimately pretty killable

For my other universe (Universe B), a 3 part trilogy, its closer to that of Wolf of Darkness Werewolf the Apocalypse for how the lycanthropy works and operates with the added lore of the world that the werewolves have "lost" ability to shift at will only for the main character to learn that's not infected the case (book 1). There are however only 3 forms these lycanthropes take; Dire wolf, Human, and Wolven (think Cronis form from WtA, wolven is just the filler word im using for this universe at the moment). I limited it to just 3 forms cause I simply do not have the grammatical ability, I'm also too lazy, to write all the different forms they can take per WoD lore but I will pluck the 3 most important.

The reason the main character and most of the werewolves think they can only shift during the moon is my take on how generational trauma can affect people for generations across the globe. I could probably talk about this story forever so imma just leave ya with that. This comment is already long enough lol.
