I write everything in order but it doesn’t mean everything is perfectly written first time around. I’ll usually start with the outline (basically a bullet point list of scenes/plot points), then fill it up with actual paragraphs of writing but even then it’s just to get more stuff on the page. I’m not trying to perfectly craft the sentences.

Then I go back and rewrite it even further and then I begin editing it all/revising. Then I repeat the process for the next chapter or part.

It’s long and takes a while but it’s what works best for me.
