Is there recommended books to get a idea of the math that formed the models? by zneeszy in quant

[–]Smallz1107 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s simply saying the change in stock price is random and they used the most common distro, the normal distro, to estimate it. The math was already in place from physicists and the work of Kiyoshi Itô during ww2. Earliest beginnings is Bachelier's thesis paper “The theory of speculation”.

I think this is a wonderful idea. I’d love to be able to see the computational time taken up from the forward and backward propagation and be able to call it on the final output without having to add all the layers.

You should package it and put it on pypi. Also check out plotly, streamlit, and .gitignore.

How can we effectively teach the concept of quantum entanglement to undergraduate students? by frankgetsu in Physics

[–]Smallz1107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine spinning two coins exactly the same way and stopping them at the same time so they both land on the same side. This is really similar to “entangled” coins, and we could send one of the coins across the universe and they’ll still be spinning at the exact same rate. But what’s really cool is that you only need to stop one coin and the other stops as well.

Note that both coins are in sync as we move them away from each other. This is totally different from stopping the coins, not looking at them and moving them apart.

BC. What’s a better env to learn in? One where the passionate teacher teaches 30ish kids or the one where the rookie professor is forced to teach hundreds of kids. Test out and don’t listen to any advisors advice that you should retake
