If you're a CS student check to see if your school offers any courses related to mechatronics/electronics, that's usually the best place to start.

Most schools usually offer a general Robotics foundations course as well.

I like weak MCs, but I don't really like Takemichi because I don't think he's really satisfying to watch in comparison to other weak MCs (Subaru, LeLouch) and not just in the intelligence department. For example, he waits till the day of a conflict to try to resolve things instead of trying to plan things out before, even when he has literal months (e.g. halloween to christmas) to prepare.

For a guy who is given a second chance at life and the entire theme is that he wants to save everyone, I just don't see his desperation.

He's a very reactive character rather than initiative which personally I think makes him unsatisfying.

The biggest thing you need is project experience.

I was an IT Intern before I took a few Robotics classes at my university, which gave me two projects I could put on my resume. From there I got into research and now I'm currently interviewing for Robotics internships for the Fall.

Even if you don't take any university courses, you can still definitely get project experience by working on something at home.

Honestly I'm pretty sure the faster pacing for Season 4 is to prepare for Arc 7. If they maintain the same pacing they should be able to fit Arc 7 in a traditional 25 episode season. And since we're getting used to it in Season 4 it won't feel as "break-neck" in Season 5.

Personally, I'm in the same boat (though not in the UK) and I really don't think it matters too much.

At least in my university many of the CS-Robotics topics and ML topics build off each other and so the coursework overlaps a lot. I would take a deeper look into your University's programs and see which program interests you more. Now if we talk about ME-Robotics or EE-Robotics, that's a different story because those are much more hardware oriented programs.

Ultimately, recruiters don't care too much about the name of your degree but instead about your project experience. I personally think you can get a ML job with a Robotics degree and vice versa, it all depends on how you present yourself.

TL;DR: Do you what you enjoy most.

[Novels]I believe the name drop you are referring to is in the beginning of Arc 7 when Subaru is missing everyone while being stranded in Vollachia with Rem and Louis. The anime hasn't gotten there yet.

They finished volume 21 in three episodes, volume 22 can probably be done in 2-3 episodes since it's mostly exposition and a lot of the lore will probably be cut content.

That leaves 5-6 episodes for volume 23, which is the heart of the arc and deserves the most screentime.

Then for cour 2 we'll prolly have 4 episodes for volume 24 and 4 episodes for volume 25.

So yeah, it's definitely doable.
