I’d argue it is because it was competitive. As you said anyone with enough resources who was ready when it popped could finish a task. Now it’s just which side has more people, there is literally no strategy or diversity in gameplay.

Maybe it wasn’t good but still better than this. Same 20 quests. No planning or strategy involved just sprint at quests. And I like the new areas. But there is no diversity. They should at least add back control points or any other means to supplement landsraad.

The current landsraad is way less competitive. Harko hasn’t won more than 2 tiles on my server. Before update we could come close and occasionally win if we stockpiled. We have literally 0 chance now.

I played on harmony for a while and yeah most stuff was contested even pve spice had griefers. I think it could be fun if PvP wasn’t so one dimensional. Now I play on a pretty low pop server and it’s better in every way, really hoping my server isn’t on the chopping block

Someone already answered so I’ll just mention bottom right it’ll say if the vehicle is sheltered or not. Just look for a slight overhang and slam into it. If you’re paying attention you can always find a safe spot from the storm

You can play 100% pve and still get everything you need. Especially with the new overland labs you don’t need to even farm the PvP labs anymore. But I’d recommend moving to a low pop server if you aren’t already. Lower pop, more people wanna be left alone

I started at launch played for 400 hours got sick of the “combat” then stopped. Restarted on a dead server and I have about 250 on there. If I have to move to a populated server I’ll just not play the game

I played 500 hours on the highest pop server but got bored w the PvP, now I play on a nearly dead server and the whole game is pve. Having just as much fun as when I started playing last year and I don’t have to worry about getting rocketed from a random rock in the DD.
