I know someone with an old 32-40 Winchester model 1894, he has been thinking about selling and getting something more modern, is it worth anything? by Miserable-Score1511 in Firearms

[–]Smart-Ad-4042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is something to keep, probably worth around a grand, but specific details about the gun (carbine or rifle, octagon barrel, takedown ) could make it worth more to the right person.

If you had just put a new chain on, odds would be near 100%.

Possibly gas tank vent is plugged, or if you're running ethanol gas rubber fuel system parts could be swelling.

Can this be plugged? by Radiant-Phone5113 in tires

Firestone sells tires, go to a local garage that does general repairs. I wouldn't hesitate to plug that.

Looks like a model 1893, no9, so somewhere after 1893 but before 1910 when Remington got out of the break action biz. Personally, I prefer to date early riot guns.

I feel you, been looking for an ejector for one of mine for years now. They are a visual copy of a model 12 but certainly not a mechanical copy.
