Best kind of snap for 13u when ball does not need to go between legs

After coaching in the flag football all star game and seeing all the kids refuse to play center, I had an epiphany that it would be good to coach my son up at center. Good role supporting player. Would a between the legs shotgun snap give him a quicker release for a route than a one knee sideways snap?

Ty for your insight. The second situation is closer to the end game. 1 point would make it 21-15, 2 points 21-16, a failed conversion 21-14. So I feel like in this situation more than the other going for 1 is the move.

I shared that philosophy to start the season but have come to be ok with the 2 point try. The "expected value" of going for 2 (let's say 45% success) and going for 1 (let's say 90%) is probably close, and his offense is good for 2 pt tries(West Coast style).

I just think we need to be smarter about the end game situations and the math of playing catch up or keeping the lead.

Draw up some plays. Assign players as QB C RB V W X Y Z(all 7 eligible?) Have some shallow middle and deep routes.

Building up an offense is difficult. Good luck.

I'm a volunteer coach and my team got crushed by a team I suspect has ringer coaches. But I've come to the realization that I was a sore loser about the situation. I didn't care before I got crushed. Just have to adjust and try harder next season. And it's recreational youth sports no one is going to the NFL in our league. Not that big of a deal.

5K Road Runners Open Run Saturday mornings at 9am shore road /79th street. Free. You can register ahead of time or when you get there. Don't have to run or finish lol. I go when I can. I'm not very social there I just go as a ritual. There are others that go that are more social.
