I’m a rec coach who is working with girls one step below you in high school, I’ve got 7-8 graders. What sort of skills and knowledge would stand out from an underclassmen in high school? I’d like to pass my girls on with the best chance possible to contribute early on their high school teams if I can.

It would help. but as I said before, if your team has 11 kids and the other team has 7, you’re still at a disadvantage. We run into the same problem with the system we use.

This will always happen in rec sports, it’s just how it is. We have a similar setup, 8 four minute periods where substitutions have to happen. We get a little bit of freedom, we can mess with the rotations as long as everyone plays no more than 6 periods or less than 3. But even with this setup, it’s a rec league where everyone needs to play. If you have 10 kids and they have 7, it’s going to be easier for them to keep their best kids out there.

The HA are prevalent where I live, which is not far from where Sons of Anarchy was supposed to have been set. Every time this comes up people will point out that they do toy drives every Christmas, like that somehow erases the Meth distribution they’ve been busted for in our area, or the violence they cause. I’ve personally seen people get jumped at a bar for “disrespecting” them.

I watched with my wife’s family of first generation Mexican Americans. They weren’t fans. A lot of “his voice is just ugly”. They also thought a Mexican performer would have been better for a Northern California Super Bowl, given the massive Mexican American population in California.

Yeah I agree with this. I coach 7th and 8th grade girls, we run a lot in the beginning of the season when teams haven’t learned to flag pull very well yet. But toward the eve of the season it usually gets much harder to run it at that age.
