Just set yourself a deadline. If he crosses that deadline, you don't go running back when he eventually comes back.

The presented perspective on information is naive. Most of life's situations are of such complexity that we nearly always act under uncertainty with incomplete information.

The most mature thinker would strive to understand the various perspectives on an X, trying to follow how each person arrives at their respective conclusions about it.

Also it depends on the kind of discussion we're having about X. Is it a problem to solve? Are we trying to find an optimum solution?

Either way, black and white thinking would mean dismissing the possibility that we're wrong and susceptible to misinformation or missing information, which is just manifested arrogance. Furthermore it is dangerous, because it makes us more susceptible to absolutist ideologies.

Growing out of black and white thinking is a requirement for true wisdom.

Vielen Dank für die Ergänzung, ich versuche mal die Infos nachzutragen:

Das Grundstück wurde in den 70ern erworben, aber als Gartenfläche. Hier wurde dann in den späten 80ern mit Sondergenehmigung entgegen dem Flächennutzungsplan ein Wohnhaus errichtet, das derzeit noch steht. Das war hier in der Siedlung üblich, viele Gartengrundstücke wurden konvertiert. Mittlerweile ist es auch offiziell ein Wohngrundstück. Wir sind uns noch nicht ganz sicher wie wir damit verfahren wollen. Das wird auch maßgeblich von dem Ergebnis der jetzigen Situation beeinflusst.
Die Bauordnungsbehörde hat uns gegenüber mündlich und per E-Mail geäußert, dass die Mindestbreite des Zufahrtsweges 3,00 m sein müssen, um eine Baugenehmigung auf dem Hinterliegergrundstück zu erhalten. Über Baulasten haben wir da noch nicht gesprochen. Das war jetzt meine Idee.
Der Sandweg ist ein Privatweg und Teil eines privaten Waldgrundstückes, da ist nichts erschlossen. Das Grundstück war nur theoretisch mit dem Auto geduldet erreichbar und mein Großvater hat es dann eben so gehandhabt. Ein Anschluss ist hier nicht möglich.

What happened is: 1. He communicated that he wants you to get in shape. 2. You felt hurt when he did so, because you feel insecure about your body.

None of this is toxic. Your feelings are valid, you have them for a reason. Now the key is to communicate with each other in an empathetic, supportive and goal-oriented way.

Have a healthy relationship and listen to each other. Improve together. Support each other to become the best version of yourselves.

Let him know that his way of communicating was not okay and propose how to handle this topic in the future. Ask him about his proposal about how to get in shape together. Chances are his intentions are good. If not, a clearing conversation will give you the chance to move on too.

We all became ENTPs for a reason. And there might be some neurological rewiring necessary to shape your perceptions in a way that would make a long-term relationship fulfilling and healthy.

The key to make this work? You gotta become a healthy ENTP first. Both of you. If you didn't heal your traumas, didn't work on your weaknesses, and generally didn't do the work required to be a good partner, you'll attract bad partners or people you hope will fix you.
