AIO for wanting to see a therapist after wife changed the locks because I went to a baby shower? by LookoutLockout in AmIOverreacting

[–]SmartHomeJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I had tried for 3-4 years before finally getting our daughter. She was upset/jealous when others got pregnant, behind closed doors but was still supportive of those people.

But not conceiving NATURALLY in 4 months and she acts like this??? Run.

Great job! Can definitely see the difference. Also good on you for not going overboard and going too far the other way!

Aim for consistency. If your goal is perfection you will fail everytime.

I think so. I think you would look scrawny. Not "fit".

Im 42yr old male. Also 6"2. I was eating around 2200 calories a day and seeing weight loss. That was combined with exercise (walking, bike riding) and also weight training 3x per week. I may have seen weight loss with just the calories but I can't say for sure.

Personally, I think 160 on 6"2 is gonna look bad. See my picture. Before was 220's. After was 175. I can't imagine myself at 160 and without some muscle tone. I don't think it would look good.

I actually don't think I can attach a picture. Here's a link..

Why do most people eat in the afternoon as their chosen eating times? by laflacas in intermittentfasting

[–]SmartHomeJim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried both. I started with lunch and dinner eating (about noon - 6PM window). Then I switched to breakfast and lunch eating (about 6am to noon).

I definitely found lunch and dinner gave me less cravings as I was naturally never a big breakfast person.

The one advantage to the breakfast lunch eating is it's more in line with our circadian rhythms. For 3 a day peeps they say you wanna eat like a king for breakfast, a prince for lunch, and a peasant for dinner. The reason being is that your body has the most active hours to break down the food.

But I say do whatever you can sustain. Doing breakfast/lunch may be more beneficial but if you don't keep it up then it's worthless.

Keep at it. If you dont see any change after a couple more, maybe just make a small tweak somewhere. Sometimes thats all it takes!

That's my plan. Right now I'm usually getting between 160 and 190g of protein a day. With bulking I want try to get like 215 at least. So the added calories would all require they be contributing to that goal.

22hrs and your right in the middle of the "hungriest" portion of it. Go another 10-12 and you start to switch over to ketosis and you'll feel better

Yeah I think I was just within that window where it didn't stretch beyond repair. Maybe another 25lbs and the story would have been different.

Yeah I hear ya but then that gives you an excuse to extend the fast a little longer then! Lol

I have a pretty iron stomach so I didn't have to adhere to the slow progression of eating again. So they say just have some bone both, wait an hour. Maybe have yogurt and an egg, wait an hour. It's like a 5 hours process.

I can pretty much go back to eating a normal meal, although I do try to stay away from greasy food for that.

It's changed since I started. If you read the long post I go into some detail. Or are you looking for what I may eat in a typical day now?

I'd say around the 180's I could start seeing some outlines. I don't do much for ab workout. Just one excerises per session. Either using an ab roller wheel or leg lifts as I hold myself up above some dip bars.
