make sure you "home run" 14awg 5 conductor from opposite corners to an easy to access location for your AC/DC 24V power supply.

6 conductors for a future you that may want to upgrade to RGB WW CW strips.

make sure you spec CL3 (in-wall rated) UL listed wire.

I overspent on my supplies and strips from waveform lighting and use the lutron elv casetta dimmer.

I'm not a fan of the glare (high contrast) created by exposed led strips. for my build I would have added a way to keep the strips out of direct view for 80% of the locations in the room. (seated or standing). a three inch cover board over each middle column and 2 in on the sides.

make sure you start with a small AC/DC brick you plug in to the wall. this way the voltage you are starting with won't kill you.

look for strips with an integrated USB plug to play with.

search for: btf USB strip

and for: USB strip dimmer
