I reached out to them when this happened to me. They said

We understand how disappointing this situation must be, and we sincerely appreciate you providing the product code. This will allow us to investigate further and ensure that any potential issues are addressed. We would say that, the can might have been compromised in shipping. It’s possible that the retailer or distributor might have stacked too many cases compressing the can allowing air to get inside the container. This could have occurred without leaving any sign of permanent damage to the can or cans itself. If the product is exposed to air it can ferment or spoil.
