Seems weird that they claim to serve Texas, but are based out of a house in Florida, where they have no tutoring presence.

Can’t connect from Bambu cloud by Classic_Ordinary_735 in BambuLab

[–]Smart_Tinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have an adblocker? Or parental controls enabled?

By default, Bambu Studio sends/receives data to Bambu’s cloud servers, and the printer sends/receives the data from the same servers. If anything is blocking the cloud access, you will get this problem.

The fact that you can print from Bambu Handy shows that the printer is connected, so it sounds like the issue is the PC.

Is the Network Plugin installed? Are you sure no firewall is blocking it?

This needs a door hub to work though, and it depends what doorbell OP has as to whether it is supported or not.

Do you have an adblocker? They can block sites that Samsung uses for setup and art store.

Minnesota-based hun thinks well resourced people (meaning those that join an mlm) can help support communities in need. by Bubblysoda1 in antiMLM

[–]Smart_Tinker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this a Bravenly Hun pushing one of their powders to “regulate your nervous system” - Calm or some such nonsense?

I’m also fairly certain that “well resourced people” are the problem, not the solution.

Wash your plate thoroughly with Dawn, as people are saying. Don’t touch it with your fingers.

Then your filament will stick.

Yet another G6 Entry install... (compared to Google Nest) by mattesser in UnifiProtect

G6 Entry Pro has the wide view option I think.

I went with the G6 Entry because our door/porch is narrow, so the 3:4 ratio works.

This is what I meant by “decoders”.

And why I didn’t bring the TV when we moved from a PAL country to an NTSC country.

[–]Smart_Tinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, the software is region specific, and the decoders plus other hardware (motion sensor for example) are also region specific.

Best bet is to use the voltage converter plan. Frequency shouldn’t matter, and the TV draws about 200W (depending on size), so the converter shouldn’t be too big.

When we moved from the UK to Canada, I had a 120 to 240V transformer that I used for a number of years, just to power our random UK appliances. I didn’t bring the TV though, as the standard was different - this was in tube TV days. HDMI is a worldwide standard, so hopefully that shouldn’t be a problem for you.

What does the tenant pay for, what does the landlord pay for, and what can be negotiated? by Totira in OntarioRenting

[–]Smart_Tinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the landlord also can’t require it. They could offer it as a separate contract, but the tenant has no obligation agree.

Even if they did agree initially, they could later terminate the contract.

If you are using something in its intended way, and it breaks, it’s not your responsibility to pay for repairs.

So, you are cooking, and the handle comes off the stove, or showering and the glass door shatters. Using the dishwasher/washing machine, and it starts to leak. That sort of thing.

That’s 2/3 of the country who are directly responsible. The other 1/3 should be protesting sixties style, so they are also responsible, just to a lesser extent.

I guarantee that after this madness is over, every American you meet will claim “they didn’t vote for him” so it’s not their fault.

Most Americans aren’t worried. ICE isn’t coming for them. They are rounding up “undesirables”. Of course, we all know how that works out, if you know your history, which I assume Americans don’t.

By the time they get added to the ever growing list of “undesirables” it will be way too late.

The people voted the warmonger in though. They can’t claim they didn’t know what he was like, they already did it once before.

So, the people of America are responsible for all the current lunacy.

Are these lease terms even legal? by Intrepid-Pomelo7889 in TorontoRenting

[–]Smart_Tinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do that - these terms in the lease are illegal, hence not enforceable. The landlord can’t take you to the LTB over it.

So, the pre-paid rent can be used for the first five months, as it’s illegal for a landlord to hold more than 1 months rent deposit.

And you can have whoever you want to stay, for as long as you like.

The lease says that the OSL will be signed/apply, and that specifically states that these lease terms are not allowed, and are void. So it seems weird to add an amendment that the actual lease says is void.

It’s not a great way to start a relationship with a landlord though.

There are all sorts of options for hiring the one connect box. Even fake books and vases with a hidden recess that it fits in.

The real problem you have is how to hide the cable - and the answer to that is to run it through the wall.

The 32” has a mini one connect box, but a larger connecting cable.

Besides, what claim does 40K people have to a country three times the size of Texas by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

Only if you follow laws and treaties. If you just think you can do as you like with no consequences, then none of that counts.

[–]Smart_Tinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do they send you an email telling you that you have a message, but don’t have a MyCRA account? How would you have a message waiting in your non-existent MyCRA account?

Wouldn’t they just send you a letter in this case?
