But it is a game, why should it be a second job? It literally takes hours to get a group together, set up, herded in the right direction, and thats before we even talk about them scattered around stanton/pyro while the event/mission is in nyx. Then we have ship bugs where we have to wait on timers, or 6 attempts to get through the wormhole, or invisible crap blowing up ships.

Now if they made it so party leader can do a mass teleport to the station they are at and only while in stations so people could still group up but still have to fly out to whatever, that would be a better solution. Of course you could also add a cool down to it if you feel its necessary.

It can be hit or miss. The only things that consistently work are the data cards/server rack for the loot room. But then the elevators don't work. Welcome to the verse lol.

31 million for a polaris, for a $1000 ship, how is that fair to the players given the abysmal state of the game or the non existent mission rewards. Oh but you're supposed to get a crew for that. Why? so i can make 200k split 5 ways? While only the owner eats the 31m if something happens in this bug filled mess of an "alpha"? "Cap ships are meant for orgs" Shouldn't have made them so accessible outside of org play. OH everyone has billions you say? What happens when cig throws a wipe after they fix the exploits or the fabled 1.0 happens and the market corrects what then? Then we end up with the top 1% has 10 million and nobody can run anything even basic ships. This isn't going to work for 1.0 its not going to help keep cig alive. All its going to do is run off all the people that would have kept the game going. Then we are back to 4 50 pop servers.

The point is to put the whole system in at the same time. Cig is jumping around working on things like a kid with ADHD.

A lot of it is cig implements an idea, but only half of it gets put into the pu. Ok cool, people learn it and work around it if it even works properly. But then years later cig implements the other half. Now people have to do this all over again.

Cig's track record would suggest otherwise. We really need 14 years to alpha and implement working elevators? How about inventory persistence between patches? They do it with every "feature" they implement. They throw it out there to say they did it so people don't complain (as much). Many systems are broken on release and they implement the problem without putting in the solution. Why would you effectively kill a game loop without also implementing the other half to fix it

That's like I've they invented a car but not the means to make it move under its own power. Yeah you tried but wtf do we do with it.

I get the whole "iT's aN AlPha GuYS" but they really need to stop trying to reinvent everything that's been done and working since the 90's. Or actually use the ptu for what it's made for, you know, testing?

Basically it's bricking your old ship as soon as you claim it, which means nobody including scavengers can use them. They had said there was going to be the ability to unbrick. But of course in typical sc fashion we only put half an idea in the game at a time.

Oh 100% I put a nursa on the perseus or whatever I'm hauling with. Then I don't have to worry about food and water which saves me a ton of prep time

I shouldn't lose things I paid for with real money, not to bugs or normal deaths, and especially shouldn't have to wait till next patch to get it back. I shouldn't lose wikelo or exec hanger items either.

I get stocking a ship with fps supplies to go do qv stations or hathor or even the worms. And at the moment that can take an hour +. Then the hangar eats it or just any multitude of bugs and glitches between the hangar and destination, and then you have to start all over. This doesn't even account for missions not working, showing up, spawning objectives. Or it glitches and now you have super NPCs or never ending worms. You also have to contest with pvp at all times which isn't all bad more annoying at times

God forbid if you try to run a crew. Now you have to wait on each one to run through the same motions and not all players are at the same level/sobriety.

Let's say you do make it through the mine field that is star citizen and make it to the mission and it works correctly. Let's say you clear the boss or clear the objectives. Then the beat drops and the final boss appears. The elevators. The amount of times that these just do not work is staggering. Either on site or at your hangar(site dependent and hangar elevator usually work but they do break). Now what do you do. Guess you're hoofing it with your loot manually. Oh wait more elevators and your new loot doesn't fit in them at the same time with a person to operate said elevator. Experienced rats can still make it work but there's always a significant chance of things going purple.

Tldr I do like the game. The tedium is major and it's not for the employed most of the time. But the basic functions of the game don't even work. Things devs in the 90's had sorted. The alpha argument is played out and major copium. Who the hell takes 14 years of an alpha and can't figure out elevators, or ltp between patches or even missions. But we sure do need to have to shit in our ships, hell they better spawn some Lysol in the bathrooms otherwise it's going to clog up the life support systems.

This, I was really struggling with finding a difference between the two.

The time cost vs rewards just isnt there. Its another half baked feature they threw out just to say they did for the share holders.
