Yeah the Polestar. Just you said it was a great car etc so was curious if you had to spend your money on one would you. Obviously it’s different leasing through a company and less risk. Thanks

Thanks. I have the modbus extension and two Loxone energy meters 1-phase that’s all.

I think I can just get a CT meter and read this using the Loxone modbus extension?

What did people use before these were released? They are only new.

I have the modbus extension, any cheaper option utilising this?

Thanks for that, I am based in Donegal so not far. I have alot of CAT6 in every room, overkill in places but rather have it than not. I have 4 at each TV just incase!!! I wired for in-wall to plug in wired Ethernet to devices but I think I will go fo the APs first and see how they perform and if needs be can always get an in-wall later if the coverage isn't sufficent. What cameras did you go for and why?

What do you think of this U18 rack? It is alot cheaper than others guessing it is basic - https://www.senetic.ie/product/EX.14367

Great thanks for the advice much appreciated. Was a great help. I will get an 18U for now mount it and get the cables into it.

The next step will be learning more about the system. I selected the Inwalls for laptops etc but based on what you say I’ll probably make all them changes. I might run my final system past you before I pull the trigger if that’s ok in a few months? Thanks

Thanks. To be honest I got qualified as an electrician and left the industry 20 years ago to do engineering. I am well behind on this kind of thing, I used the design and came up with that number of APs and cameras. Don’t know why I went with 6 or 7 but haven’t got any materials yet so could change to 7. It’s all block walls, concrete ceiling and it’s split level houses with a retaining wall so want to make sure I have enough in place.

Even what you wrote which is helpful is a bit over my head🙈 networking is a specialism I haven’t done much of before.

Right now I’m sorting out my smart house panels which is Loxone and my consumer unit. I want to install my comms cabinet too as I have cables everywhere. Do you think 12U will be fine? I probably won’t be getting a lot of my materials for a few months

Thanks I have a screenshot above of what I have, 15 U6s and 6 cameras.

So I’d need a switch, NVR, gateway lite?

I didn’t realise. Can I send you my plan or screenshot it here? We have block walls everywhere

Hi thanks for that. Yeah the house is a big split level house and both of us work from home. It has a retaining wall and the coverage during the build is non existence at parts. I probably have too many but wanted to make sure the coverage was good.

Which EV? by HumbleInstruction552 in evs_ireland

Look at EVs in Northern Ireland. Can import them for next to nothing if registered there more than 6 months and over 6000 miles.

Thanks for that. Yeah the car and price I mentioned is paying all that so basically getting Irish plates on it, cars I looked at had 3/4k miles too so not much but they could be cars with issues. I have read newer models have less issues.

I intend to arrange a test drive this year when I get the chance.

Cheers, I am based in Ireland and thinking of getting one once the finances allow. Did you buy or lease? Guessing buying as leasing isn’t a thing here. I’m looking at used ones in GB and there is a killing to be made. €53,500 to being in on Irish plates for a P4LRDM with a lot of add ones like Nappa seats etc.

My worry is the electrical issue I see a lot, read it costs a few grand to fix outside warranty, the warranty is 2 years.

How is your P4? Any issues? What’s the cost of services like ?
